🚀 Exciting News! We are so proud to introduce our latest report, "Cashing in on Profits". Despite global challenges like Covid-19 and the Ukraine war from 2021-2023, Australia's top 500 corporations pocketed an extra $98 billion in 'crisis profits'. 📈💰 Major sectors such as mining, banking and supermarkets saw unprecedented gains. Companies like NAB, BHP, Woolworths Supermarkets and Hancock Prospecting led the pack, while many Australians faced rising living costs amid pandemic and inflation woes. Oxfam urges the Australian Government to enforce a 'crisis profits tax' on excessive corporate gains, channeling funds towards tackling inequality both at home and abroad.
