Drag.. Drop.. Droop..
The fundamental necessity of access to clean drinking water in India is the most crucial matter to be fixed now. every Indian, regardless of their socio-economic status, should access safe drinking water. The provision of free and uncontaminated water for all, along with safeguarding natural water resources for both livestock & wildlife, is of utmost importance now.
Water is the lifeblood of society as it is essential for the survival of all living beings, including humans, animals, & plants. so, Water should never be commodified; Ensuring equitable access to water is a critical aspect of social justice & sustainable development.
India is indeed grappling with water issues, including water scarcity, water body pollution, & unequal access to clean water. Rapid urbanization, industrialization, & population growth have exacerbated these challenges. many water bodies get polluted & can never be used for any purpose other than wastage. In many metropolitan cities across India, citizens are required to pay for their daily water needs.
This unfortunate reality largely stems from the depletion of groundwater, a consequence of rapid urbanization, deforestation, & inadequate rainwater harvesting & poor water management systems, making the availability of drinking water impossible for so many.
Pollution of natural water sources also have a detrimental impact on wildlife. Many animals and ecosystems depend on water bodies for survival, & disruptions in water availability can lead to habitat degradation & threaten species' survival.
Improving water supply infrastructure, promoting rainwater harvesting, enhancing water treatment, strengthening regulations, supporting community investment, & developing eco-friendly purification technologies are vital for sustainable water management.
Preserving & restoring natural water sources is so important it is not only an ethical obligation but also vital for maintaining ecological balance. The food chain, a complex web of interdependence, should always be a priority, as any disruption within it could have catastrophic consequences for humanity..
