Each year, Oshkosh Defense team members come together to combat local hunger for Feeding America of Eastern Wisconsin through the annual Hunger Games. Hunger Games VIII has officially started and will run through July 31! During this time, team members get creative with their internal fundraising efforts. From golf outings to bake sales, trivia and cutest pet contests, all funds raised directly contribute to providing meals and resources to those in need. Let the games begin! #HungerGamesVIII

According to Feeding America, more than 44 million people in the U.S. — including 13 million children — are food insecure. The Feeding America network consists of food banks, pantries, meal programs, state associations, and the Feeding America national organization and works together alongside communities to end hunger in America. RSI and DOE Legacy Management contract teaming partners Amentum and TFE are contributing $300,000 to Feeding America to support nine communities adjacent to LM operations. The funds will support nearby food banks in the Feeding America Network. The communities receiving support from the donation include Monongalia and Preston counties, West Virginia; Pinellas County, Florida; Navajo and Coconino counties, Arizona; Grants, New Mexico; San Miguel County, New Mexico; Grand Junction, Colorado; Westminster, Colorado; Hamilton County, Ohio; and St. Charles County, Missouri. #FeedingAmerica

This is crucial. Also professionals in different fields should learn to listen to signals when to recognize abusive situations, and learn what to do in these situations.
Businesses in all sectors should be concerned about discovering workers who are victims of modern slavery in their supply chains. It is a growing problem. That is why Hope for Justice launched Slave-Free Alliance to help businesses protect themselves through expert consultancy, training, policy recommendations and more. Community impact? The primary impact of this firms business model increases homelessness (currently at 10K homeless people on any given night) by gentrifying neighborhoods and forcing people who make less money out. "Global day for people and planet" yet the firm musters up 2 small bins of mostly dog and cat food...this doesn't even align. How about taking on projects that actually help to reduce the number of homeless people in the city instead of ones that are for the affluent population and for corporations to profit from. I hope other architecture studios in Toronto can learn from these fake displays of positive community impact. Many studios like this promote themselves as doing good but really at a foundational socio-economic level, they drive some of the biggest problems in the city. #thinkcritically #communityimpact #torontohomeless
Last week we supported Patcraft's Global Day for People and Planet initiative by filling two bins in our Annex with donations for several SPCA locations throughout the city. Great work team! #communityimpact

2wAbsolutley heartbreaking. And out of control inflation doesn't help with food costs. (Not the reported CPI numbers, but the real inflation rates.)
