Vision task project: Using YOLO for Object Detection and Tracking in a Soccer Game ⚽️ Today, I will be sharing a little bit of a takeaway from initializing a tracker that stores and keeps track of objects across multiple frames, ensuring accurate tracking of each player and other key elements on the field. Object Detection with YOLO: Utilizing YOLO.predict() to perform object detection on each frame. YOLO's efficiency and accuracy make it ideal for real-time detection tasks in our project. Conversion to the Supervision Detection Format: Using supervision.Detections.from_ultralytics() to convert YOLO detection results into the Supervision Detection format. This conversion is crucial for integrating with our tracking system. Multi-Object Tracking with ByteTrack: Implementing supervision.ByteTrack() to track multiple objects over time in video frames. ByteTrack maintains and updates the states of tracked objects, including their positions, velocities, and unique track IDs, ensuring seamless tracking throughout the game.
