Scaling revenue is no easy feat, but a repeatable sales process can make a huge difference. At Iterable, we didn’t just document our process; we built a comprehensive enablement program that helped scale our revenue from $2M to $75M. Here’s why it worked: Consistent Training: Regular sessions kept our team updated on the latest strategies. Effective Onboarding: Quick onboarding reduced ramp-up time and boosted productivity. Resource Accessibility: Easy access to sales materials ensured our team was always prepared. Ira Bernstein Caroline Fox were huge assets in making this happen! Investing in sales enablement equips your team for success. Want to learn more? Let’s Connect! thecatalyst.io

So what have I been up to the last year and half professionally? I became a partner in a digital product development company called GeekOffice, with former APU’er David Castro. I have been able to apply my experience in technology and product leadership to startups and businesses going digital. I have been able to re-immerse myself in product and engineering work and lead from within technical teams, helping multiple organizations affect customer experiences as well as improve internal culture. For those that joined me in changing APU toward product thinking, team-based organization, and lean/agile culture over the long haul, know that our shared story mattered. I have been amazed at how it has applied to this new venture. As soon as I met amazing designers and brand strategists, partnering with La Visual brand agency on several projects, it validated my experience and passion around product leadership and development. Much of the work I’ll share about is the result of what happens when you put the talent from both of these organizations and disciplines together. It has been a blast learning different industries and trying to build a consulting organization that is NOT like consulting organizations. Acting like a teammate instead of a contractor has made all the difference. Applying agile concepts like “maximize the work not done” to product development is likely refreshing to those who normally deal with runaway costs with contractors. Watching clients realize that we are not specialists, but true geeks who can traverse multiple domains of business, product and tech has been rewarding. I absolutely love working with client leadership at all levels. We shipped full end-to-end product development for freight tech startup (kafka, rest APIs, mobile app, web app). We shipped a corporate website, single page app style with Angular and headless DatoCMS. Did I mention I got to do this with Kyle J. Nakamura. And we are in the middle of a launch of a new messaging product for a startup in the human assistant space. We also continued building our own tools, including a headless cms/application builder. But probably most exciting of all, is the potential of geekoffice. I think with as many corporate tech layoffs as there has been, and with many like us who are tired of being pigeonholed in a narrow field of specialization, it is refreshing to build a geek network of those who want to impact multiple organizations and different industries. Geeks who, whether full time or on the side, can work with some of the best engineers to build cool stuff in the product space. There are many, we think, who are on teams too small to have a mentor, or too big to have a tribe they can call their own. We have ideas to bring a trusted safe place, a private network, for those like us, to craft together, contribute to open source… and see what comes. I don’t know what the future holds, but I am more free now to talk about it, and would love to catch up.

I remember the early early days of startup life where it's exciting and invigorating and ... stressful 🫠 Stressful because so much has to be built from client fulfillment, client onboarding, marketing, sales cycles, retention, all automation, etc. And there's this fear that it'll fall apart or you'll always be needed to run it. But the #1 thing that helped me actually sleep at night (aside from the rockstars I got to work with who absolutely crushed it) - SYSTEMS. Knowing that great systems were created and in place allowed me to rest mostly peacefully, go figure. And as the Integrator in a company, it's our responsibility to ensure those systems not only get created, but that they get implemented by the rest of the team. This is how we create a team-run company with strong ops and efficient foundations. I cover lots of different systems, strategies, and lessons for #2s to customize and plug into their business at https://lnkd.in/gNbdAqFM 👊

🛒 I’ll show you how to get customers hooked on BUYING MORE and FASTER, while improving your profit margins | E-commerce Customer Retention Email & SMS Marketing
I'm switching things up with this post. 👇 . . . I wanted to write this post as a moment of reflection for the past few years. For over 7 years, I've been immersed in the marketing world and loved every second of it. You know what's interesting? As I looked back, the best years of my career weren't when I had all the answers. The real excitement came from the learning curve. My journey through B2B marketing, SaaS, and now ecommerce has been a rollercoaster of learning, adapting, and understanding the intricate layers of this field. Since launching Email Kong, I've always felt this urge to share what I've learned, but I still felt I didn't know enough. It took a while to build up the confidence to post here. My focus for 2024? Delving deeper into the ecommerce ecosystem, creating more content, and shaping an agency that brands genuinely want to partner with. An agency that above all is transparent, honest, works hard, and delivers results that speak volumes! We've had a great year at Email Kong: • We've worked with 18 ecommerce brands (mostly behind the scenes, but will share more about our work this year) • We've set up camp in a fantastic central London office. • I teamed up with an incredible business partner who's been the backbone of our processes, systems, and priorities. (wouldn't be here without her) • And now, we're finally gearing up to expand and hire full-time team members. (more on this soon) This year, we've also taken our partnership with Klaviyo to the next level and we're on track to reaching Platinum status soon. Hopefully, by the end of the year we'll hit Elite. 🤞 Credit to Jaime R. De Botton who guided us through making the most out of our partnership! But we're not stopping just at Klaviyo. With tools like Sendlane, Yotpo and so many more getting traction and raising the bar, our ambition is to broaden our horizons and grow our tech partnerships. Now, more than ever, we're positioned to become a major player in this space. Here's to more learning, growing, and sharing great content in 2024! #ecommerce #emailmarketing #retentionmarketing

In the last 1 year, my role as a founder changed completely! (for the better) In 2023, when we just started createxp, I was involved in everything: - Writing code and brainstorming design ideas with the team - Making final decisions on design and development tasks - Attending all client project meetings - Managing all client projects and being the main point of contact - Doing manual lead generation - Writing and creating content Now, in 2024, as our company has matured, my role has evolved into: - Onboarding clients & establishing communication with my team - Networking more with industry peers - Prioritizing hiring - Focusing more on sales - Thinking in quarters and years instead of days and weeks - Analyzing market trends - Trusting my team to make decisions and stepping in only for major business choices 20% of the tasks bring you 80% of the results Founders should focus on that 20% highest ROI tasks! Tasks that move the lever and grow the business exponentially📈 It's crucial for founders to gradually step back from day-to-day operations⚒️ Here’s how they can do it → - Establish workflows that your team feels comfortable with. - Stay involved in the initial stages. - Create standard operating procedures (SOPs) for repetitive tasks. - Delegate gradually and start trusting your team to make decisions. - Intervene only when there are irreversible consequences. - Hire specialists for specific operational tasks. - Focus more on activities that expand your business. I keep sharing insights on design, technology and company building. Follow for more!

How does your company gather technological information? Is it centralized or scattered across various sources? This information is crucial for new team members during their onboarding process. However, in larger companies, it's common to find that this knowledge is spread out, which can slow the onboarding process. So what should you do? Use StackSpot to solve this problem. Our development platform offers the centralization of information in one place, making it easier for team members to onboard and for team leaders to make better decisions.
