When asked what is meal prepping, I used to think it was literally slaving away in the kitchen for hours to cook all of my meals for the week. When in simpler terms, meal prepping is preparing meals in advance. Meal prepping can take on many forms: • Preparing entire meals for just one meal or one day at a time • Preparing entire meals for multiple meals or days at a time • Preparing individual, separate ingredients to be used in meals later on, such as cooking meats or chopping vegetables Not once did meal prepping by definition mention ‘slaving away in the kitchen’, did it?! Crazy, right! 🤪 There are benefits to meal prepping, too, including: • helping save money • ultimately save time • a helpful habit to understand portion sizes contributing to an overall more nutritionally balanced diet • reducing stress as you avoid last minute decisions about what to eat, or rushed preparation Looking to start meal prepping but don’t know where to start?
