Many organisations globally are preparing to bring their 2023 early career/graduate programme candidates onsite in August/September and have also begun planning for their 2024 intake. At this important and busy time for HR/Early Careers departments, we wanted to re-share our early careers webinar from earlier this year. In this recording we explore Welliba's global research, insights and actions from over 1,500 participants across 13 countries and 16 sectors on the drivers of employee experience (EX) of people with less than 5 years of work experience. What boosts and blocks their EX? Are there differences across countries and sectors? How can we positively impact their experience? How can we improve our people programmes and make sure we get a better return on our investments in these programmes? Thanks again to Catalina S. for being our guest contributor and joining Howard Grosvenor & Dr. Richard T. Justenhoven for this session. https://lnkd.in/djFqYdUT

Verizon has 100,000 open positions, with 99% not requiring a college degree. The company emphasizes the ability to collaborate and empathize with coworkers over hard skills, which they can teach. If your degree isn't in a high-demand niche like accounting, the importance of soft skills cannot be overstated. There's a growing mismatch between the employment desires of new college graduates and the available opportunities. A scattergun approach to job hunting won't work. As an entry-level professional, be thoughtful in your job search. Develop your soft skills and intellectual curiosity to stand out.
