We had some special furry guests join us from Lort Smith's Pet Therapy squad in the OES Cremorne office today 🐶 Lort Smith is one of five charity partners we support through our Change For Good program, where our team can donate from their pre-tax pay and OES matches every contribution. Lort Smith does important work offering veterinary care for the pets of people in need - a cause we are very proud to support. #OESLife

⏰ TIME IS RUNNING OUT IN 2023! ⏰ We have just 4 days left to reach our End-Of-Year Goal. Many responsible pet owners face financial challenges when their beloved pet gets injured or suddenly becomes sick. Though these families provide day-to-day necessities and routine veterinary care for their pets, an emergency veterinary visit can easily cost thousands of dollars. An average emergency veterinary visit can cost up to $250 for the initial evaluation. Emergency veterinary care can cost anywhere from $1,600 for a simple injury to upwards of $10,000 for something more complex. Low-income families that cannot afford these expensive and unexpected veterinary costs are forced to surrender their pets to an overcrowded shelter, euthanize them, or watch them suffer until the end. 💔 This is the tragedy loving pet owners face every day. We help as many pets as possible, but that takes money, which is why we need YOUR HELP. Since 2013, we have prevented hundreds of pet owners from making a heart-wrenching decision to say goodbye to their pets too soon due to financial hardship. If you are able, please consider donating TODAY! VetBilling is proud to partner with nonprofit organizations to help bridge the gap between the cost of veterinary care and saving the family pet 🐱🐶 In 2016, VetBilling and the Brown Dog Foundation entered into a collaborative partnership. Brown Dog Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit founded by Carol Smock in 2006. The Brown Dog Foundation provides charitable grants for veterinary care for owners struggling to afford lifesaving care for their pets. By partnering with VetBilling, recipients of Brown Dog’s grants have the option to repay the grant amount back over time using VetBilling. Brown Dog has now established the VetBilling Repayment Program, and it’s very successful! Which is a wonderful thing that we are so proud of.😍 Carol Smock says of the Grant Repayment Program, “We found early on that working families don’t want a handout. They just need a way to pay over time, because most have no way of finding even $400 on short notice.” Smock says that in the first year of the Repayment Program, Brown Dog recaptured more than $17,000 in [grant] money, enabling the distribution of needed funds to even more families. This past year, VetBilling partnered with another nonprofit veterinary charity, Guardian HEALS. They plan to set up a grant repayment model similar to the one that’s worked so well for Brown Dog Foundation, so they too can extend the reach of their precious resources! Are you a nonprofit charitable organization that provides grants for veterinary care? Or a nonprofit veterinary clinic? (We work with lots of those too.) If you’re interested in setting up your own grant repayment program, we’d LOVE to help! VetRec (YC S23)'s mission is to help doctors focus on what matters the most: the pet. If we can help reduce stress, burnout, and let the doctor fully take care of another pet, then it's a win. This is especially important when nonprofits like Seattle Humane strive to see as many pets as they can in order to literally save their lives and ensure their medical records are up to date, on time. Take a look at the below case study for how Seattle Humane uses VetRec (YC S23) to achieve exactly this. Reminder: VetRec is free for nonprofits 😉 . If you are a nonprofit veterinary clinic or know one that would benefit from VetRec, tag them ! https://lnkd.in/gfyJCpb9 #AI #soapnotes #SOAP #medicalrecords #aiscribe #nonprofit

Posted @wilsonhaus_ccr 🚨5 days 🚨 I wish we could wrap them all in a veil of safety. I wish our work wasn’t necessary. I wish they didn’t need to be rescued. But they do. We have 5 days to raise the funding to continue life changing work. That is when the Instagram deposit cut off is to have the funding in time for May. WilsonHaus is collaborating with @millysplacevc in less than one month to help those we can. And we honestly need you. Rescue takes a village and every act of advocacy and generous don@tion helps move the needle of change. Both with urges to change policy to help them all and contributions of 5 dollars to help some. How does your contribution help? It supports our mission in May, in less than one month, to be able to change lives. It helps save horses from the abuse, neglect and malice of the auction circuit. What so many people don’t know is that equines of all different ages, backgrounds, and types get dumped at sale barns across America when they are no longer wanted. Some of these horses end up getting shipped to sl@ughter. Last year, nearly 20,000 equines were shipped across the borders to be sla@ughtered. And it’s not only that, while in the circuit with traders, they are often abused, neglected and exploited. Your 5 dollars helps pull some of these animals from this awful cycle of abuse. It’s not their fault they ended up with bad people doing bad things. When you donate you are helping save lives, providing: - Purchase price from sale barn - Transport costs to get them safely to the rescue facilities - Veterinary costs* (a major expense for equine rescue) - Medical costs associated with rehabilitation - Training if needed to provide the animal with tools to not only survive, but thrive - Basics like feed, supplements, bedding, etc *Please, PLEASE also check out the S.A.F.E. Act highlight and write your reps. This needs to end.

According to the American Pet Products Association, Americans spent $136.8 billion on their pets in 2022, which was a 10.68% increase from 2021. Your companions are not replaceable, they are members of your family. During National Pet Day, we here at The Signatry want to support the relationship between you and your furry companion. Here are some of the charities that our donors support that champion your pets: ASPCA: Provides vital veterinary care, responds to disasters, pioneers adoption and behavioral rehabilitation programs, conducts critical animal welfare research, trains law enforcement and shelter professionals, and advocates for more effective laws against animal cruelty. Comfort Connections: Utilizes golden retrievers to create compassionate connections that promote empathy, understanding, comfort, inclusion, and acceptance. This unique bond strengthens human resilience through times of crisis, persistent adversity, and disruptive transitions. Agape Therapeutic Riding Resources: Serves individuals and groups of all ages who have physical, emotional, cognitive, or social disabilities through various equine-assisted programs. #nationalpetday #nonprofit #support
