We are thrilled to announce that Unisanté, Centre universitaire de médecine générale et santé publique from Lausanne, is the proud winner of our 3-month rqmicro.COUNT Trial campaign! Their exciting project, " Advancing On-Site Bioaerosol Monitoring: Implementing rqmicro for Real-Time Diagnostics in Microorganism Emission within Occupational Settings," caught our attention for its innovative approach to real-time diagnostics in microorganism emission within the workplace. Unisantè's research focuses on workers in the waste industry and aims to improve the scientific understanding and methodological approaches for monitoring bioaerosol exposure in working environments using the rqmicro.COUNT platform. The use of on-site flow cytometry (FCM) to quantify intact cells overcomes existing limitations and provides a time-saving alternative to traditional culture methods and reduces the risk of sample deterioration associated with transportation to external laboratories. This project not only contributes to occupational hygiene but also promises far-reaching implications for various industries.
