The Balance of Attracting New Customers vs. Retaining Current Customers - What Does the Science Say? Are you struggling to find the right balance between acquiring new customers and keeping existing ones? The science behind consumer behavior provides some valuable insights: 1️⃣ Focus on Availability: Increase both mental and physical availability to reach potential customers and create opportunities for acquisition and loyalty. 2️⃣ Loyalty is Earned: Building a loyal customer base is a natural outcome when you have broad availability and meet customers' needs consistently. 3️⃣ Winning Customers is Key: While loyalty is important, winning new customers is vital for business survival and growth. Without ongoing customer acquisition, your brand may face decline. Remember, brands are not perceived as human entities by consumers according to scientific studies. The evidence suggests that people differentiate between animate and inanimate objects, and brands fall into the latter category. So, instead of relying on personal beliefs or feelings, let's focus on the evidence and insights that science provides. I would love to hear your thoughts on this topic. How do you strike a balance between attracting new customers and retaining existing ones? #CustomerAcquisition #CustomerLoyalty #BusinessGrowth

It's apparently 10x harder to find a new client than to keep an existing one happy and loyal. Grass is not always greener over there. Make sure you look after your existing clients FIRST but always be prospecting for new ones too. It's a juggling act for sure.
