According to Brand Finance Shell has taken a global leadership role in helping customers divest from Russia in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and helped provide some degree of energy security to Europe.
Every year, leading brand valuation consultancy Brand Finance puts 5,000 of the biggest brands to the test, ranking them across all sectors and countries. Shell, the most valuable Dutch brand?Well,may be.But it was in the news that Shell had relocated its head office to London,in a bid to circumvent certain legal requirements/obligations.Be that as it may,this Dutch brand is anything but valuable in the #NigerDelta, Nigeria where its subsidiary Shell Petroleum Development Company Nigeria Ltd signposts environmental and human rights violations,community land theft,crude oil theft etc. Of all these,the most brazen criminality perpetrated yet is the burying of Toxic,Radioactive,Carcinogenic,Non Biodegradable Effluent in Ogulagha Community,Burutu LGA Delta State Nigeria.This 'valuable' Dutch brand,Shell Plc's subsidiary SPDC JV,without strict recourse to global best practice and Environmental Guidelines and Standards for the Petroleum Industry (EGASPIN), laid a mixture of sand and cement of 2ft thickness on the contents the Borrow Pit,put a layer of soil and planted grass on top to criminally conceal the evil deed.See pic of the location of the ticking time bomb.The hazardous materials continues to seep into underground water sources,polluting the environment and spewing death in its wake.@ufuoma odiete @Saskia Kapinga Wael Sawan @Elozino Olaniyan, FNSE FNSChE Rob Sherwin

This is great. But does SHELL put the same value on the workers' lives who work on their assets? What makes a brand valuable are the workers who make the efforts and sacrifices for the success of the brand. Not the company/SHELL sacrificing the workers by committing HSE violations, workers' rights violations, and OSHA Laws. There's more information on my profile.
