🌟 A Milestone Moment 🌟 Today, as I step into my new role as Chief Digital Officer, I find myself reflecting on the journey that brought me here. Many friends have kindly wondered and asked me why I am embarking on my third Master's degree, why I wake up at 5 am to study, and why I choose to go for a run after a long day or week. My answer has always been about the power of self-discipline, staying focused on your goals and objectives, and the necessity of stepping out of your comfort zone to achieve anything of significance. Steve Jobs once said, "Stay hungry, stay foolish, and only when you look backwards will you see how you connected the dots. You have to trust in something - your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever." This quote has been a beacon for me, showing me the path of continuous learning and growth. I am grateful to my team, my colleagues, our clients and my family for their ongoing support on this journey. Their faith in me has always been a source of strength and motivation. A special thank you to the Top Management of BBDO Greece and BGM OMD for entrusting me with the opportunity to lead Hearts & Science and BGM OMD into the new era of media - an era marked by digital transformation. It’s with gratitude to all our clients and the team at Nexus that we’ve been listed as one of the top 150 consumer PR agencies by PRWeek UK Since taking the helm of the business in 2018 we’ve seen Covid, the passing of our founder and personally I’ve survived a close call with the afterlife. If there’s anything I’ve learned over the past five years…. 1. Leadership is an honour and a privilege. We might not always get it right but being resolute to serving clients and colleagues is essential. 2. Resiliance will ebb and flow but at the core of this trait is having colleagues who can support, when perhaps you’re on an ebb. 3. Original thinking must be pursued even if it doesn’t always manifest - you must stick to how you do business and your philosophy on what drives true growth for clients. (Oh what we would have done with PG Tips £12m 😜) 4. The lasting impact you leave is what matters. Busineses change but brands can last forever if there is a clear reason to be relevant.
