During WindMover Days in Luxembourg, we took delivery of the first Lift Tower Adapter trailer in Poland and the fourth in Europe, a novelty from FAYMONVILLE Trailers to the MAX, one of our specialized trailer suppliers 💪 This is the latest adapter in the industry, which is designed to transport wind tower components weighing up to 100 tons and with an inside diameter of 2,550 to 5,400 millimeters. More technical details about the trailer itself can be found in an earlier post. Speaking of last week's events - on Saturday in Luxembourg, our employees took part in a special training dedicated to the latest adapter to join our fleet💡 - The training focused on the operation of the new trailer for transporting sections of wind towers in the new hydraulic-pneumatic suspension configuration - says Margaret Grzyb, Senior Project Manager. - Among other things, the training presented several technical innovations offered by Faymonville's latest trailer model, the FlexMAX 4 7 with wind tower transport adapter. These include the suspension of 3 hydraulic axles, trailer leveling and wireless operation with a remote control. The training attended by our drivers included preparing the trailer for loading by properly adjusting the mounts to the diameter of the flange, or adjusting the hydraulic suspension. VIDEO: SEAM and Danfoss retrofit AC drives to #electrify passenger ferries in #Oslo Fjord #Danfoss, in collaboration with #SEAM, has retrofitted three of ferry operator Norled AS’s gas-powered #Nessoden ferries with its standalone air-cooled alternating current (AC) drives to enable them to operate exclusively on electric power, reducing #CO2 emission by 6,000 tons per year. The conversion was initiated by ferry operator #Norled in close cooperation with systems integration company SEAM, which specializes in hybrid and all-#electric vessels. The electric-driven motors ensure improved #airquality and reduced noise levels. On shore, a charging station ensures 24/7 uptime, delivering 3.8MW of DC power. This capacity enables rapid eight-minute charges to fit the ferry timetable and ensure a stable #ferry service. Another Refit is underway at the Shipyard. Built by Wight Shipyard Cwind Pioneer was launched in 2020. This week it has made a return for some annual maintenace and a freshen up after allmost 4 years of hard graft! Did you know the Pioneer is over 20% more fuel efficient than conventional CTVs running at 24kts on a mile for mile basis. For a typical windfarm situated 30nmi from port, this translates to a reduction of over 110 tonnes of CO2 per vessel, per year, by using the hybrid SES. This figure excludes the savings of the hybrid system, which will allow the vessel to be zero emission ship infield while technicians are carrying out their work on the turbines. Specific figures will be shared once these savings are proven, but initial desk top studies suggest a 30%-50% saving over conventional vessels. We are proud to continue such a strong aftersales relationship with buisnesses after manufacturing them vessels.

Commercial operations are king for vessel owners, therefore, it's imperative that onboard technologies - like Rotor Sails - do not interrupt port operations, impact the speed cargo can be loaded/unloaded, or limit the amount of cargo that can be taken onboard🚢 ANEMOI Rotor Sails do not interfere with cranes or other infrastructure during port operations at berth. This is due to both the relatively small size of our Rotor Sails in comparison to standard vessels, and the deployment systems that enable them to either fold horizontally or move along or down the deck.
