Today, I had the incredible opportunity to volunteer with the Women's Employment Network (WEN) here in Kansas City as a #wenfluencer. It was my first time assisting with resume writing, and I was blown away by the passion and resilience of the women I met. What struck me the most was that so many women don’t even know about WEN and the valuable resources it offers. WEN is not just for those facing financial hardship; it’s for ANY woman who finds herself unemployed and looking for a way forward. This organization offers so much more than just job search assistance. They provide a comprehensive support system, including: --Employment Coaching: Personalized one-on-one sessions to develop career strategies and build confidence. --Financial Coaching: Guidance to help women manage their finances and work towards long-term economic stability. --Workshops: Covering topics from job search techniques to personal development, financial literacy, and even stress management. --Community Support: A network of women empowering each other to reach their full potential. WEN’s mission is to help women raise their self-esteem and achieve economic independence through sustained employment. We used to primarily think of ghosting as what would happen in the dating world when one or both people decide they no longer want to communicate. Ignoring messages and other attempts to connect occur effectively ending the prospective relationship. We refer to that going silent as ghosting. Reasons people ghost a prospective employer are many and unique to each situation. But here is the thing, keep your eye on the prize of securing a good hire! 5/21/2024: Either I never ever used up my quota before in invitations to connect with others OR I did not know that I ever knew how many people could I connect with to in a month. I will have to wait until June 1st to invite Anne Tebo Michele Simon, JD, MPH or LizAnne Jensen Yes, all are in different fields, however, I can relate and talk on other subjects. Also, is there not a U S federal law which a company can not ask your age or when you graduated from high school or college; your gender trans or not and your skin tone? When one deals with such an application are their any exceptions like if the company is a federal contractor) are there any exceptions? Aaron B. Also there are still companies which interview applicant with 'assignments' which is fee free labor in my mind. Is there an agency to complain to correct these ongoing bad habits?
