🤔How can asking the right questions shift perspective? Yesterday, I shared how, early in my career, I let fear win and lost focus, wanting to be accepted by the school community. When I hit that turning point, it dawned on me: I was asking the wrong questions. Instead of wondering how to win the community's approval, I began to filter every decision through a simple yet powerful lens – "How does this impact our students?" This question became my north star, guiding my actions and decisions. This shift wasn't just about changing a question; it was about realigning with my values and the reason I stepped into this role. It was about focusing on making a real difference in the lives of the students we serve. By centering our leadership on the impact of our decisions on students, we navigate our roles with more clarity and purpose, moving beyond the fear of success that can often paralyze us. I was honored to receive a scholarship to attend the Out in Tech Leadership Institute, which may help make it possible for me to go to the institute this fall in New York City. However, I still need some help from you- my network and yours - to find a place to stay. I cannot afford to pay for a hotel while I am at the conference. You can help me by: -Sharing my post with contacts who might have a place to stay that is under $100 a night (or better yet, free); -Sharing my post with contacts who might be generous enough to share their hotel points to help me stay in a hotel during the conference. This is a gentle reminder that not everyone in tech makes a fortune, and not everyone works for a company that offers professional development funding. Impact Stories are always inspiring and impactful, and today's all-company meeting at FranklinCovey was no exception! It was amazing to hear directly from two clients who joined us to share the positive effect our partnership has had on them. One of our clients, an international construction company, shared their results from working with Four Disciplines of Execution. The impact and ROI they've had is truly impressive! But it wasn't just our corporate clients who shared their success stories. We also heard from a 5th grader, a principal, and a new staff member at a school in Kentucky who have all been positively impacted by our Leader in Me program. Is being a school principal what you thought it would be? When I embarked on this journey as a principal, I quickly discovered that it's anything but a straightforward 9-5 job.
