Ask your reps to support the #PROTECTRare Act today! The PROTECT Rare Act makes it easier for rare disease patients to get the treatments they need - just like those with more common conditions. It’s not about special treatment. It’s just that rare disease patients often can’t convince Medicare and Medicaid to consider their treatments ‘medically necessary’ and they get caught in a cycle of appeals and denials. #AmiBera

Here is a great resource for reporting without retaliation. Retaliation can happen due to basic human emotions, however, there are laws against retaliation. The laws are to protect whistleblowers from retaliation if and when retaliation does occur. Reporting is vital in the healthcare system not only for companies from falling but also patient care. Reporting has you in a vital role for patient care and safety. Not all patient care is in-person nor is it just diagnosing, collecting specimens, treating, prescribing, etc. 🤗 Patient care is also ethics, honesty, integrity, legal, compliance, regulation, quality assurance, anti-fraud, etc. This resource is not for everyone, by clicking on the link you will see the criteria for reporting to the U.S. Health and Human Services - Office of Inspector General.
