“The Vacancy is Not the Problem". Increasing agency profit starts with WHAT you sell. Leading Recruiters From Transactional >> Transformational. Outselling the Attention Recession.
Less than 5% of recruiters have ever been taught to sell. Relying on rapport, persisting with personality. Pitching your product to get your name out there? That's not sales. That's marketing (kinda). Without a sales process everything is much harder. ❌Not enough placements... ➡️check your sales process ❌Not enough candidates… ➡️check your sales process ❌ Not got enough jobs… ➡️check your sales process ❌ Not high enough… ➡️check your sales process ❌ Not enough commitment… ➡️check your sales process ❌ Getting ghosted… ➡️check your sales process The year is rushing on. BD improving? Standing still? Going backwards? If you’re left feeling like an opportunity is slipping through your fingers, counting near-misses and wondering what might’ve been... learning to sell should be your priority. Learning to sell isn’t a dark art. It’s not a sleazy 90s tactic. It’s not having good banter or being resilient. It’s a set of skills and tools you can learn and refine forever. It's a true life skill. If you'd like to win more of the business you feel you deserve, let me know. I can probably help.

Director of Marketing & BD @ MessageSpring 👨🏾💼 and Speaker 🎤 | Guiding Leaders and Companies to Build and Leverage Their Personal Brands 💡 | Product Owner to Director in 2 years 🚀 | Podcast Host 🎙
If you hate sales, you may as well not have a career at all. Regardless of whether your expertise is in sales/BD or not, EVERYONE needs to know and be good at sales. In other words, you NEED to love it. Looking for a job? Your CV and interview is your sales pitch. Single and looking for a date? Your image in person or social profiles online are your sales pitch. Seeking to agree a fair price on something? Good negotiating skills is a part of sales. Seeking a promotion or pay raise? The discussion with your boss is your sales pitch. Writing an email to tell a client about what you do at work? Tone, structure and vocabulary are all essential to being good at sales. No matter what you do in life, it somehow involves selling, or being good at a key trait for sales. So don't shy away from learning sales and say you hate it. Instead, get good at the skills. It'll help you outside of work too 💯. #sales #career #job #bestadvice #personaldevelopment #skills #growth #learning #personalbranding #pitching

I've distilled the formula for getting a job in this market! I just have one question: Could the sales professionals help us? After lots of advice, workshops, webinars, and in-the-wild testing, here it is, the essence of this job market: - Apply within 12 hours of the role opening (within 1 hour if it's a highly wanted position) - Resume is ATS optimized (80% keyword-match, quantifiable achievements only, doesn't look AI written though) - Cover letter that is fully personalized to the hiring manager (again, not AI written!) - Get not one but 3 referrals (warm intros only, in person if possible because nobody reads LI messages) - Cold email the hiring manager and recruiter, bonus points for personalized video intro - Search engine optimize your LinkedIn with the keywords for the jobs you apply to - Apply to at least 3 jobs a day like this (but really, 5-10 is better) ... I'm not sure if it was the intention of all the well-meaning advice but this looks surprisingly similar to lists for BDRs and AEs with a techstack to help them hit those numbers. So, are there any salespeople who want to branch out into teaching us non-sales folks? Seems my Sandler Sales training isn't quite up to the task 😆 P.S. While that list is based on actual advice, I'm being sarcastic, I prefer to laugh at the situation. #jobmarket

Then this one is for you! 🚀 Let's talk about how to break into the sales industry without any prior experience because we all had to start somewhere! I wrote emails for the 1st time in my life and got 6 inbounds for my client. (I’ve only sent 2 emails). My client AK who have a coaching program to help employees get their next job opportunity came to me saying: “I heard a lot about emails… let’s try it out” I said to myself: Yes… i didn’t try it before. But nothing to lose if i’ll try. 1st email → let them see themselves in his story. 2nd email → Showed them their pain. 3rd email → Make them feel the pain. The result? “How you can help me?” “I’m stuck right now and I need your help” “I need to find a new job and get high salary” Remember: Even if your clients don’t have money. → They will pay if they have the pain. Even if your clients forget the pain. → They will remember when you wake them up. It’s your call to tell them “Wake up” P.S. If you have a proven coaching program above $2K-$3K and you need to start attracting leads through email, send me “Wake up” and I’ll send you the details.
