The overall objective of the CSA BrainHealth is to structure the landscape in Europe for research into the brain, its health and disorders, by creating a platform for involvement of all pertinent stakeholders and their convergence around an ambitious Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA). A vital component of a well-developed research project is the dissemination of its findings. It ensures that any valuable insights and discoveries from the project can reach the right audience, encouraging innovation and driving progress in the field under study. Evolv and the research partners in our SBRI Healthcare - funded stroke telerehabilitation trial have been very active in ensuring the transfer of knowledge of our project through academic publications, presentations, social media, as well as relevant stroke-related events. One of the most important global events for the sharing of knowledge and advances in research and clinical care of stroke patients is the European Stroke Organisation Conference (ESOC), now taking place in Basel, Switzerland from 15–17 May. ESOC is the perfect showcase to present our EvolvRehab – MoveWell project and we are very fortunate that Dr Philip McBride, our project manager from the University of Exeter, is there to present a poster on the results of the initial n=5 stage. There’s nobody better to represent our project’s aims and early findings than Dr McBride, who has worked very closely with us and the other project stakeholders, especially the stroke survivors and their carers who trialled EvolvRehab at home. The opportunity to share our project’s early research findings at ESOC will definitely boost its visibility and increase its potential for real-world impact, which is Evolv’s biggest goal. #stroke #telerehabilitation #exergaming #neurorehabilitation

Congratulations to my colleague Eugene Przespolewski PharmD BCOP DPLA and Clinical Services Director Grazyna Riebandt, PharmD, BCOP for this recent publication shedding light on the challenges faced by Oncology Residency Program Directors (ORPDs) regarding protected administrative time and burnout. I have read a couple of studies about burnout among pharmacists lately. This study suggested that ASHP Residency Standards may not be meeting the needs of ORPDs, with 50.8% feeling that the current standard falls short. Only 5.2% of ORPDs had budgeted protected time as well as financial incentives. Fifty percent of respondents saying protected time was the most important change in improving well-being. The findings underscore the need for greater support and incentives for ORPDs. #Healthcare #ResidencyTraining #WellBeing #Burnout
