Comtech recently completed phase one of a Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) call management system for one of the largest Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) in North America. The Toronto Police Service, which handles over 2 million emergency 9-1-1 calls annually, recently partnered with Comtech to provide a Next Generation solution that will improve response times and enhance public safety for its citizens. With phase one now complete, Comtech and the Toronto Police Service will continue working towards completing the full transition later this year.
With other recent deployments in Ontario as well as the first-province wide deployment in Saskatchewan, and through close partnerships with major ESInet suppliers including SaskTel, Bell, and Telus, Comtech is helping lead the way for Canada to deploy of one of the first nationwide NG9-1-1 infrastructures. Comtech is also continuing to expand its NG9-1-1 solutions globally, offering emergency response providers the latest technologies for improved safety for decades to come.
