Building Stronger Communities across the North of England

World Mental Health Day is celebrated on October 10th every year to raise awareness of mental health issues and to encourage people to seek help if they need it. The theme for 2023, set by the World Foundation of Mental Health, is ‘Mental health is a universal human right’. Here is what we are doing at Oaklea & Right2Work – a word from our HR Manager, Helen Shaw: “Here at Oaklea and Right2Work we support our employees to speak openly about any struggles they might be having with their mental health. With the support of our HR Team, Team Managers and our very own Mental Health First Aid Team we pride ourselves on supporting the workforce and creating a positive workplace culture through a positive support for employee wellbeing. This World Mental Health Day we invite everyone to join us by pledging to protect, promote and respect mental health in our communities. Mental Health UK are encouraging people to make their mental health a priority. Whether your supporting someone in your care, a loved one, a friend or a colleague at work Mental Health UK are encouraging people to make a pledge. Once you’ve made a pledge, talk about this with others and share your ideas. Let’s pledge to protect, promote, and respect the mental health of everyone in our workplace.” #mentalhealth #worldmentalhealthday #Cumbria #Durham #Northumberland #socialcare #socialenterprise #stepintosocialcare
