When you seek interpretability/explainability from your deep learning model for medical imaging applications, what are you REALLY asking your model to reveal to you? What are the underlying elements of interpretability? As a model designer, which interpretable DL method will address the element(s) that you've pinpointed? Our new paper, published in IEEE Access, answers these questions! Check it out: https://lnkd.in/egtt6sau

The number of medical scans is set to increase drastically with a growing market and more affordable machines. However, the number of radiologists is not growing significantly with a shortage of 10-30k doctors expected by 2033. We need better automation with AI so that imaging can be used not only by radiologists but also other physicians to counteract this shortage.
The global medical imaging market is projected to be worth $32.6 billion by 2027. Our team has recently published the Medical Imaging Yearbook. This market intelligence report explores the challenges and opportunities vendors face, including users' concerns about AI technology and market limitations. Our expert report author, Aiyana Amess, has shared a new infographic that provides a brief overview of the key global dynamics affecting the four core modalities. The infographic also highlights the top five vendors in the medical imaging industry. If you have any questions about our research, please contact Aiyana.
