I am incredibly honored and humbled to share that I have been awarded the ‘Top Product Management Voice’ badge by LinkedIn. This recognition is a testament to my journey, which has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride. My journey began with a degree in Chemical Engineering from Jaypee University of Engineering and Technology, followed by an MBA from University of Arizona, Eller College of Management. My love for learning led me to pursue a dual major, picking up Management Information Systems (MIS) along the way. In 2018, I took a leap of faith and ventured into the world of Product Management as an intern at Microsoft. The journey to becoming a good Product Manager was paved with countless hours of reading books, listening to podcasts, engaging in insightful conversations with other PMs, and sharing my learnings through my blog and now Podcast. Today, as I look at this badge, it feels surreal. It’s a validation of my efforts and a reminder of the incredible journey I’ve embarked on. 💫 Had an exhilarating experience at the MIT Product Conference - a dynamic gathering where product enthusiasts like myself dove headfirst into the ever-evolving world of innovation! 🌟 From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was swept up in a whirlwind of thought-provoking discussions, engaging workshops, and inspiring talks. It was like being immersed in a melting pot of ideas, where every conversation sparked new insights and connections. Whether it was exploring the potential of AI, unraveling the complexities of supply chain management, or dissecting the art of effective product development, each session left me buzzing with excitement and brimming with fresh perspectives. It was a true celebration of creativity, collaboration, and the boundless possibilities that lie ahead in the realm of product management. Huge Shoutout to Joff Redfern for setting the stage with his keynote – his words resonated deeply, especially for someone like me who's taking those initial steps into this exciting field. Max Elisman ‘s take on the magic of AI and product was not just informative but downright entertaining. I even had the chance to chat with him afterward, swapping stories and insights about product management – invaluable for someone like me who's transitioning from full stack development. Jim Perkins journey towards product management was truly inspiring. It reminded me that the path to success is often filled with challenges, but with dedication and perseverance, we can overcome them. Pavan HS ‘s transition from full stack developer to product management that resonated with me the most. His story and insights shed light on the challenges that lie ahead and gave me a clearer picture of what to expect in this transition phase. As someone who's also navigating this journey, his experience was incredibly valuable. The wisdom shared by Chantic Nguagan about growth PM was priceless – each nugget of knowledge feels like another step forward in my quest to become a successful product manager. I had the privilege to witness the grand finale of the MIT Sloan School of Management’s Product Management Hackathon, generously sponsored by Google. This event left me thoroughly impressed and captivated by the diverse range of innovative product concepts presented by all participating teams. I just attended my first #ProductCon online event hosted by Product School, and it was an absolute pleasure! It was exciting to learn from Product Leaders at top tech companies like Amazon, Meta, Disney, and more! Here's a glimpse of a few of the sessions: - "Polymathic Product Managers" - Pen Szeto taught me a new word - Polymath. Posting this abeit late as a motivator to finish off my complete course pack. I highly reccomend the course for whoever is starting off in Product Management or interested in uderstanding the product life cycle. As a PMM, I think it is critical need to understand product management in order to know how to best place their Market-Fit. This course had this to offer; gave me an Understanding the PM discipline, looked into some famous product managers and their accomplishments, and how I can make my mark. Embedded-Customer Obsession. Learnt why successful PMs start from the customer and work backwards to the product, cultivating my intuition for this process. Ownership. PMs own their products and think long-term. Learnt how to keep my sights set on the long-term using tools like the PRD and PRFAQ. Finally to Think Big. PMs communicate a bold direction that inspires results. Learn't how to think and act big by selling MVPs and communicating opportunity to investors.
