On Monday Product Management Club at NYU had the wonderful opportunity to host an enlightening product management speaker panel in partnership with the NYU chapter of GDSC and NYU Women in Computing 🚀 We had the privilege of welcoming product managers Afrina M, Sophia Amara Anigbo, and Rachel Teller from Google and Demetria Mack from Microsoft to hear about their experiences in the dynamic field of product management! Through their colorful storytelling and engaging conversations, our speakers highlighted various aspects of their PM journey: ✅ There is a clear difference between an execution role (project/program management) and a strategic role (product management) ✅ Standing your ground as a PM and knowing your worth is crucial in overcoming imposter syndrome ✅ Your presence as an underrepresented group helps hold the company accountable A massive thank you to Afrina, Amara, Rachel, and Demetria for their insightful contributions to the tech community at NYU, as well as to GDSC and WinC for helping make this event possible. Here's to more enriching collaborations in the future! 🌟 #Google #Microsoft #ProductManagement #Collaboration #Empowerment
