Clinton Hill, a 12-building co-op complex in Brooklyn Heights built in 1944, had to make energy efficiency upgrades to comply with New York City's building emissions law, Local Law 97. In order to achieve the upgrades, the project team aimed to foster a culture of training and energy efficiency among the operations and maintenance (O&M) staff. They developed a comprehensive energy efficiency training plan, thanks to the support from NYSERDA. NYSERDA's On-Site Energy Manager (OsEM) program provides a cost-sharing solution for industrial and commercial facilities or buildings to lower operational costs, reduce maintenance time, and create comfortable, safe areas by hiring or assigning a dedicated on-site energy manager. https://on.ny.gov/4cPznGT
