Amityville and Lindenhurst are now fully accessible! 🙌 Check out the new elevator and sidewalk, among other upgrades and improvements. Including Copiague, three Babylon Branch stations have been made fully accessible since last month—these additions are a major step forward for access for Long Islanders, and bring us another step closer to achieving an accessible system.

  • A panoramic view of Lindenhurst, including its street-level elevator and staircase, and the platform overhead.
  • The elevator at Lindenhurst station on the sidewalk, shot during daytime.
  • Lindenhurst's new elevator at the platform, with its doors open to show customers inside.

I am proud to be a small part of the larger collective team in completing this project! The collaboration between engineering firms, contractors, client personnel, and stakeholders drives forward public transportation, lifting accessibility, and elevating customer experiences. Cheers to the entire team for their quick project execution, dedication, and teamwork!
