As the days get longer and the weather gets warmer (for us in Europe) ☀️ it's time for us at Nudgd to wind down and enjoy the summer break. From now until the second week of August, most of us will be taking a break and focusing on recharging our batteries. 🌸 So we want to wish all our followers a wonderful and relaxing summer! Take this opportunity to spend quality time with loved ones and friends, enjoy the great outdoors, and maybe try to be screen-free. 🌿 We’ve gathered 3 nudges that you can try out to help you stay screen-free this summer: ⏲️ 𝐒𝐞𝐭 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐔𝐬𝐞: Allocate certain times of the day for checking your devices and stick to them. This way, you can fully immerse yourself in the present moment without constant digital interruptions. 🚫 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡-𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐙𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬: Designate areas in your home or during activities where screens are not allowed. This could be the dining table, your bedroom, or even during outdoor activities. 🏄♀️ 🏃♂️ 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧-𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬: Plan and enjoy activities that don't involve screens, such as hiking, reading a physical book, playing board games, or simply having a face-to-face conversation. How do you get more nature into your day when you are stuck in a busy city? 🏢 I used battle this struggle everyday 😞 Growing up I was either- in a garden, outside in nature playing, or taking care of animals; these for me is a bit of heaven. I crave the being in the beauty, serenity, fresh air of nature and love the slower pace. 🍁 Most of my adult life has been in cities, away from quick access to nature. Wanting to be in nature is a daily wish for me. To solve this problem, I have added elements of nature indoors. It's easier than you think and does not require technology. You can use both technology and non-tech ways to do this. 📵non-technology options include: Houseplants & herbs, natural light, aromatherapy, mindful observation, visualization, and hard drawn art. 📺Tech based options include: Nature apps, nature videos, V\virtual reality-based headsets, online communities, nature webcams, nature-based TV shows, and digital prints of nature for wall art. 👉 If you can get outside-- go for a Nature Walk, hike a trail, bike a natural trail, or create an Outdoor retreat on your patio or balcony. 🚵♀️ My favorites are in the carousel along with details on each of these options. 💡By incorporating these suggestions into your daily life- ➡️you can enjoy the benefits of nature's tranquility and beauty ➡️by adding calm elements of nature into your lifestyle ➡️that can be both invigorating and refreshing.
