For ASML NXE customers, chip-yield & performance is key for their business. To support high-yield in High-Volume Manufacturing (#HVM), a strong focus on particle contamination at the #reticle/ #photomask is crucial. Within ASML D&E #Reticledefectivity, we help customers to control particle contamination at reticle/photomask from nm to micron sublevel. And our vision is to contribute to the success of high volume EUV-lithography for our #NXE EUV customers by minimizing defects to increase #yield, #availability & #productivity. For me, it is very rewarding to collaborate with our customers to solve this challenge together. I like to share this picture from the customer workshop that I organized last year in #ASMLKorea. SIMULATION SOFTWARE: Ansys and Intel Foundry partner on multiphysics analysis solution #Simulation software company Ansys and #semiconductor manufacturer Intel Foundry have collaborated to offer multiphysics signoff solutions for Intel's 2.5D chip assembly technology, which uses embedded multi-die interconnect bridge (EMIB) technology. The approach is designed to enable flexible die connections without requiring through-silicon vias (TSVs). "Intel's enablement of Intel 18A and EMIB technology is a differentiated approach to multi-die assembly that has a number of significant advantages over traditional stacking techniques," said Rahul Goyal, vice president and general manager of product and design ecosystem enablement at Intel. John Lee, vice president and general manager of the electronics, semiconductor and optics business unit at Ansys, added, "Ansys' multiphysics signoff platform gives our mutual customers the flexibility to adopt EMIB technology for their system architecture and assemble the best-of-breed solutions for higher-performance products and a smooth user experience." A vision realized just a decade after the concept first emerged from the mind of my colleague Jan Van Schoot. This marvel stands as a testament to human ingenuity, embodying the pinnacle of complexity. Imagine this: a laser meticulously directed at liquefied tin droplets, birthing light itself. This light, then guided and manipulated through vast, ultra-flat mirrors, each boasting a thickness variation of less than a single atom. But the feat doesn't end there. To imprint this light onto the wafer below, we propel multiple components, each weighing around 100 kilograms, at speeds rivaling that of Formula 1 cars—all while ensuring perfect synchronization. And the final precision achieved on the wafer? Astounding, measuring below a billionth of a meter. (Yes, that's amongst others - my role :-)) As we stand on the precipice of the next phase, anticipation brews for even deeper integration, continuous learning, and the ongoing mastery required to tame this technological titan, extracting those elusive nanometers.
