I came across something on Google which used to be the buzz word in my previous organization, RPA: Robotic Process Automation, RPA is deemed to be one of the hottest trends in the filed of HR. So, What is RPA? Pretty much as the name suggests, A tech software platform that automates daily tasks and it creates bots which learns and mimics activities based on the instructions supplied to it. And, How is this relevant to HR? While HR deals with complex areas of organisation such as Employee relations, Performance and Talent Management etc, a part of Human Resources also deals with routine process like Employment letters, Onboarding/probation Emails or Data Management in HCM tool etc, where steps involved in performing such activities are standard and follows clear steps. In that instance, Firms can leverage RPA to drive the efficiency (saving time and cost). My Experience with RPA has been rewarding, used the UI Path platform which prepared the letters and shared it with employees, during the phase of developing the bot was challenging, the results were COOL! So, Is RPA a good Investment in HR? YES, but also depends on the size of the organizations, Large Multinationals can greatly benefit from RPA in their complex and global Human Resource functions. #humanresource #hr #hrtransformation #hrtech #HRireland #cipd
