Online Shopping Tips #2 Online shopping can be extremely convenient, but you may not always get what you think you are. How do you prevent this from happening? Know your source link is accurate. In my previous edition, I mentioned that each Kay Jewelers employee has their own Creatable link that looks a bit strange (Like mine here: https://c-linx.com/lA8xd ) but is a legitimate link to their storefront. Around almost every holiday, you may get spoof emails providing links to merchandise with pricing that is simply too good to be true. For example, a 14-karat gold 1 carat diamond engagement ring will never be available at a price that is below cost. So, anything you see advertised like this for say, $99, is just too good to be true. A way to be certain you are buying directly from Kay Jewelers is to use the links provided by your consultant with an @signetjewelers.com address, or to come into the store to make the purchase. Our team in Cranberry Twp is always willing to help you navigate the online store. Also, if there is something you want but aren’t sure if the picture does it justice or not, stop by and see it in person if we have it. Who knows, you could walk away with the purchase on the spot or find something better than what you had thought! Don’t sell past the sale… Sharing from X @heyalexfriedman In 1980 my dad owned a few stereo stores in Southern California called “Stereo Connection”. One day, a guy came in who wanted to buy this beautiful stereo set. He was already closed the second he walked in the store… knew what he wanted and everything. At checkout my dad said “oh by the way! They just came out with a silver version of this. Let me show it to you.” And brought out the silver stereo. Same exact brand, make and model, the only difference was it was silver and not black. The guy stood there for 30 minutes and for the life of him could not make a decision around which color he wanted. After an hour of deliberating, the guy left the store empty handed… he just couldn’t pick between black or silver. My dad missed out on this huge sale… simply because he offered the customer a second choice. I’ve been told this story probably over 15x thru the years and the point is forever relevant… “less options = easier decision making = quicker to get the sale” #businessbasics #salesdevelopment #decisionmaking #options #choice

Moneyball numbers on the value of a fitting room to an apparel store...or rather a "connected" fitting room! My friends Matthew Cyr & James Morin from Crave Retail had a retail customer which hit 1M requests, with $7.6M in merchandise coming into these rooms through their "connected" fitting rooms. Let's look at the numbers: 👗 20% of customers visit fitting rooms 👗 40% of total store revenue comes from fitting rooms shoppers 👗 Shoppers visiting "connected" fitting rooms convert 55% higher, spend 25% more Yatzy!!! In addition, in this crazy world where customers are returning eCommerce apparel purchases in record numbers, items tried on in fitting rooms are rarely returned. 😲😲😲WOWZA One of our customers just hit 1 MILLION REQUESTS from shoppers using our fitting room technology this year alone.
