As Pride Month begins, we are proud to stand with the LGBTQ community as allies, celebrating the vibrant diversity that strengthens our society and our workplace. We are continuously working on several initiatives to promote diversity and inclusion within our company: ⭐ Diversity Committee: we set up towards the end of last year to ensure we are being as diverse and inclusive as possible, planning different initiatives to support this. ⭐ Inclusive Policies: Our policies are continually reviewed and updated to ensure they support and protect all employees, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression. ⭐ Raising Awareness by celebrating events promoting and celebrating diversity throughout the year, bringing in speakers to share their experiences and encouraging employees to share their experiences in a safe space. As we celebrate diversity and inclusivity, it's time we took a closer look at the LGBTQIA community's place in today's labor market. According to the Williams Institute, the LGBTQIA community faces unique challenges in the workplace: - 50% have hidden their identity to avoid discrimination. - 24% have left a job due to treatment by the employer. Yet, their contributions are significant and undeniable. A diverse workforce drives innovation, productivity, and profitability. We can start by: 1. Enhancing workplace policies for inclusion and non-discrimination. 2. Fostering safe company cultures where everyone can bring their authentic selves to work. 3. Offering training programs to promote understanding and empathy amongst all employees.
