Equal access, affordability and availability are key prerequisites for meaningful patient access to all those in need for innovative therapeutic options. At admedicum GmbH & Co KG we very much pay attention to a patient relevant evidence base and an appropriate empowerment of patient organisations that is instrumental to make timely patient access working. It is a shared responsibility of all stakeholders involved, i.e. manufacturers, regulators, HTA assessors, payers, governments and centers of clinical expertise and other healthcare professionals to ensure ATMPs can really reach patients.

With the new European Parliament in place and a new European Commission forming, it's crucial to focus on ensuring the EU is set up for competitiveness, growth, and healthcare innovation. Key areas for progress include industrial competitiveness, intellectual property, regulatory frameworks, and access to new medicines. Flagship initiatives such as Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan, EU HTA, the revision of the General Pharmaceutical Legislation, and the European Health Data Space are pivotal.
