I am looking forward to hosting this webinar together with Vanessa Neill from Ochre Partners our ELFA members. We will take a deep dive looking at drivers, high-risk sectors, impacts and dependencies as well as how to actually start integrating nature-loss risks into investment decisions and which tools to use. #biodiversity
Taking place this Monday 4th March, our webinar on Nature and Biodiversity is designed to help our members develop an investor strategy for nature and biodiversity and explain the Taskforce for Nature Related Financial Disclosures (TNFD). We will be partnering with Greenlit and Ochre Partners, who will explain why biodiversity is so important to asset managers and share practical case studies.

What do WaterborneTP transport, infrastructure and biodiversity have in common. A debate during the Transport Research Arena (TRA) 2024 focussed on infrastructure and biodiversity, and Eero Lehtovaara conveyed the following key messages: ▶ Activities within the Zero-Emission Waterborne Transport partnership focus on eliminating negative impact on biodiversity as well ▶ The share of inland waterway transport in the total transport capacity can and has to be further increased ▶ Cooperation between all actors within the waterborne transport ecosystem is and will remain key

We are happy to share the outcomes of seven #BiodivScen projects! Addressing key biodiversity knowledge gaps outlined by IPBES, these projects have produced complex scenarios for pollinators, migratory birds, and marine and high-altitude biodiversity across Europe. Going beyond conventional projections, they offer nuanced insights into policy and societal trajectories, highlighting both favourable and worrying futures. In conjunction with the recent adoption of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, the ambitious "EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030”, and as Europe prepares for the new EU Nature Restoration Law, these findings serve as a critical compass for policymakers and stakeholders. Explore our BiodivScen Kit – a compilation of key findings and discoveries from seven projects: ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eKQncFAT The BiodivScen projects were co-funded with the Belmont Forum and the European Commission. #EUBiodiversity #BiodivScen #BiodiversityScenarios #GlobalBiodiversityFramework #EURestorationLaw #BiodiversityConservation #KMGBF

The European Geosciences Union (EGU) Biodiversity Task Force has put together evidence-informed insights on forest restoration for policymakers, including the empirically supported benefits and necessary considerations for the #NatureRestorationLaw trilogue phase! Given the extensive scientific evidence demonstrating the environmental, societal, and economic value European forests provide through a diverse range of ecosystem services, the EGU Biodiversity Task Force believes that the protection and monitoring of forest ecosystems should be considered beyond Natura 2000 areas in the Nature Restoration Law. Read the full policy brief below for more information about the scientific evidence relating to the interconnected ecosystem services provided through the restoration of forest areas and the considerations that are needed in the implementation of these restorative processes 👇 https://lnkd.in/dmuNaCpZ #ScienceAdvice #NatureRestoration #Science4Policy Bikem Ekberzade Viktor Bruckman Annegret Larsen Adriano Sofo Adam Izdebski Felicia O.
