When the Rotary Club of Park Cities’ annual Fourth of July Parade returns this Thursday, it promises to make a big impact on North Texans facing hunger. Since 2016, the North Texas Food Bank has been the beneficiary of the Rotary Club of Park Cities’ Fourth of July Parade. To date, the club has raised enough money to provide access to 1,717,918 meals for children, families and older adults facing hunger in the NTFB’s 13-county service area. This year’s parade will kick off at 9 a.m. July 4 at Highland Park Town Hall. The parade will include antique cars, firetrucks and first responders, high school groups, community floats and a bike decorating contest. The honorable Joel Williams is serving as Grand Marshal. The best leadership is all about high-trust relationships. One of the most powerful ways to build trust is to genuinely love your people. When they know you love them, the result is deeper engagement, commitment, and productivity. When you/Windsor do community service, you literally practice love for others. Every time you practice love, you become a more loving person, leader, and parent--building higher trust, higher performance leaders and teams--at work and home--in the process.
It was an honor being able to attend Windsor Communities annual GIVE event this past Friday. This year the Orange County teams helped give back to our community through volunteering for the non-profit organization Giving Children Hope which helps children and families break out of the cycle of need into success and self-sustainability. We had the honor of distributing food to approximately 200 local families. Working for a company that emphasizes community outreach is truly a pleasure.

Team 123 recently participated in a fundraising dinner in Ocala for community members and local businesses who support UF Health Shands Children's Hospital throughout the year. Dewey Sanders & his team are always top fundraisers during our balloon campaigns for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, changing the future of kids' health with efforts under his blue roof and in his community!

Camden is a vibrant, multicultural borough, with 45.4% of Camden residents born outside the UK, contributing to its rich diversity, albeit with significant socio-economic challenges: - At 41%, Camden has the second-highest poverty rate in London. - Camden faces the worst housing affordability in the capital. - London’s Black and Asian communities have been disproportionately affected by the cost-of-living crisis. - Over 2 in 5 Bangladeshis and nearly 1 in 3 Black Londoners live in overcrowded housing conditions in Camden, which is considerably higher than the UK average. - There has been a 39% rise in hate crimes all over London in 2023 compared to 2022. Our incredible community researchers are examining the impact of structural racism on housing, education, employment, and safety across the borough. Findings from our research will inform policy recommendations aimed at key development areas, such as enhancing community infrastructure, improving educational quality with better cultural training and diverse curriculum design, and fostering pathways to employment through collaboration with local businesses. Join us in working to address and dismantle racial inequalities in Camden, and creating more just and inclusive communities for all!
It’s a political bus, but not as you know it. Camden Giving and our friends are heading to Birmingham to meet brap to prepare for a Community Assembly on Strucutal Racim in this September. If you haven't been before, the Tillamook County Fair is a can't miss summer event. My recommendation: Get some quality ice cream from a local favorite and go check out the 4-H club events. If you really want to go crazy, eat that ice cream during the Pig n' Ford race - just look it up. Mark you calendars for next year! The County Fairs in our hometowns of Tillamook and Boardman are wonderful gatherings for the local communities to come together over good food and fun. Every August, we support our local fairs in a big way, including hosting an ice cream booth at the Tillamook County Fair, where 100% of the proceeds go towards the local 4-H club. Since 2010, we’ve raised $175K for 4-H, and we look forward to continuing our support for years to come. Summer might be over, but here’s a peek at how we celebrated our community and our people at this year’s Tillamook County Fair:
