Northridge Finance & Marshall Leasing recently held a dual office charity day across our Belfast & Huntingdon offices in aid of the great charity Headway - the brain injury association. This charity is one that is particularly close to our hearts. Did you know? Each year around 350,000 people in the UK are admitted to hospital with an acquired brain injury. That’s someone every 90 seconds. Over three quarters of brain injury survivors experience daily problems due to the hidden nature of their disability. Over half say it has led to them being unfairly treated. This can have a severe impact on the mental health of survivors and their families. We held bake sales, raffles & quizzes. As you can imagine the day went down a storm and there was a real buzz across both offices (although that may have been all the sugary treats!) We now have some colleagues in a weekly baking club and take turns bringing some homemade treats it to the office...a perfect reason to come in to the office 🍰 🎂 🍩 🍪 . Check out the photos...(how nice does the cake look?!) We are so proud of all our colleagues who have managed to raise £1,468 for this amazing charity! 😁 🥇

Before falling head over heels for a house, uncover potential nuisances like neighborhood noise. Cast a critical eye on needed repairs and renovations, estimating their cost. Think beyond the immediate – consider long-term maintenance demands and how the property might fare in the resale market. It's important to evaluate with a clear head, ensuring your dream home becomes a reality, not a regret. CHARITY Contrary to claims by many people, giving to charity does not keep egos in check. On the contrary, people who give to charity organizations are always bragging about it. The way these people think is that they are superior; therefore, they can give to inferior or less fortunate people. I feel that charity should be practiced within your professional ambit. Pay your workers decent salaries, give them material benefits. Do not exploit them. Follow Lean Management principles to keep the workforce and the management happy. That is charity for me. Giving a certain percentage to nameless faceless charitable projects is equivalent to social drama for me. Besides, the fact that executives from large charities travel first class and stay in luxury hotels while turning up for meetings in the most expensive suits and shoes does not inspire trust.

8.4 miles to go.... This month, I have been walking 150 miles to raise money for Downright Excellent- London Down Syndrome Network - a wonderful charity delivering excellent services to a great group of children and young people. As the challenge comes to an end, I'm delighted to say I have exceeded the fundraising goal I set for myself, but any and all donations are still welcomes for this brilliant cause. As well as getting my up early and smashing the daily steps goals, I have also made a number of other observations while walking around the place and in true linkedin fashion, here's an engagement-bait style list: 1) Flip flops are not good walking attire. 2) Walking fast at night gets you funny looks. 3) There is a certain speed of walking at which dogs will assume you've engaged them in some sort of game. 4) Cyclists struggle with boundaries in pedestrian areas, in the same way they experience space invasion from vehicles on roads. 5) Wind is a friend and an enemy. 6) People are incredibly generous. 7) Strava has taught me that I am indecisive in Tesco and tend to walk in multiple circles before purchase. 8) There is an unspoken solidarity amongst people outside of their homes prior to 7am. 9) My average walking speed is 33% faster than Google Maps directions feature. 10) Conkers are an enormous hazard to anyone attempting to exercise in a park at this time of year, both aerial attacks and underfoot traps. Thanks to everyone who has donated, and if anyone else would like to help me drag myself the last 8.4 miles today and tomorrow, you can support Downright Excellent here: https://lnkd.in/em_XZgJw

Best real estate agent in the world
JUST SOLD! •$2,300,000 14748 Hesby St #shermanoaks I am so happy I was able to help my clients buy their first home for their growing family. My clients had originally been using another agent and they had been searching for almost a year but with a small child and a new baby on the way, the clock was ticking and they decided to work with us. My team and I immediately hit the ground running and we found them numerous pocket listings and off-market options but when this 3,400 sqft property hit the market in the school district they wanted to be in, they knew they had to have it. Not only did we beat out several other offers but in escrow I was able to negotiate a $40,000 credit making this a huge win! At Amalfi Estates, 10% of every commission goes to a charity of our client’s choice and on this sale, I was able to donate to Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles . . . . #shermanoaks #shermanoaksrealestate #losangeles #larealestate #milliondollarlisting #milliondollarhomes #sanfernandovalley #firstimehomebuyer #buyersagent

The living room is the heart of the home. But with so many functions, it can often become cluttered. The key is to find storage solutions that work for your specific needs. For example, if you have a lot of toys, consider investing in a toy chest or toy boxes. By finding storage solutions that fit your needs, you can keep your living room organized and stylish, ready for buyers to visit at any time. Decoding Real Estate Jargon: Terms to Know As-Is. If you’re looking at a property that’s noted “as-is,” it means the homeowner is unwilling to perform most, if not all, of the repairs identified during inspections, etc. The ‘as-is’ state is the condition of the home when the offer is written.
