Who says that humans and AI can't work hand in hand?     Not our Manufacturing Data Science Back End team! At the beginning of the year, we succeeded in setting up an AI fault classification system to assist operators. No more time-consuming validations behind a screen. Today, our AI processes a large proportion of defects that are automatically identifiable. The operator is freed to concentrate on the rarest and most complex faults, which require real expertise.    This use case has not only improved this part of the process but has also made this previously boring task more interesting for the operator!    At ST, we augment the life of our customers but also that of our people!    To celebrate this milestone and key innovation, the project team shared a special gift to our Director!  #STMicroelectronics #MDSBE #Analytics #DataScience #AI

But at its core, our goal is simple: finding the optimal way to map an algorithm onto a selected embedded system. Here’s how we break it down: 𝟭. 𝗔𝗹𝗴𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗺 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀: We start by dissecting the algorithm into elementary processing modules, data paths, and control paths, understanding their mutual dependencies.  𝟮. 𝗔𝗹𝗴𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗺 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: Next, we group these modules into blocks, organizing and synchronizing them to ensure smooth data flow and packet transfer between blocks.  𝟯. 𝗔𝗹𝗴𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗺 𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺: This involves tailoring the arithmetic to the specific DSP/RISC cores of the target platform, with careful error analysis to maintain accuracy.  𝟰. 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀: Finally, we identify any conflicts or stalls, analyze processor and memory load, and fine-tune the system for optimal performance.
