Welcome to Srushti Patil who joined NQCP this month as a PhD in the Algorithms and Applications Team. Before joining our program, Srushti finished her Master's in Physics at the IISER Tirupati. For her thesis she worked with Prof. Prasanta Panigrahi at IISER KOLKATA. Her work was focused on solving large scale combinatorial optimization problems through VQA and unsupervised clustering. The group develops quantum algorithms for extracting hierarchical structures within data and uses them to solve large scale TSP. At NQCP she will be working on developing quantum algorithms for many body systems and associated error correction techniques for resource estimation. Outside of her time with us at Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen Srushti loves to spend time doing yoga and sports activities. She loves to cook and write short blogs whenever she finds time. Since she is new to Denmark she is also trying her best to learn Danish (especially through bus announcements). And if you ever crave for some Indian food just knock on her door. Welcome Srushti, we are glad to have you in our team! #team #algorithms #quantumcomputing
