Vena Medical: Receiving Canadian Patent and first five patients benefiting from their technology. Aya Care: Partnered with Digital Commerce Payments to introduce pioneering healthcare access initiatives in Alberta, as reported by Financial Post and won Spring Activator's 2023 Health Impact Investor Challenge! UVX Inc: Research Nova Scotia has invested a total of $2.8 million into a clinical trial that uses UVX’s tech in senior homes across three cities in the Atlantic province. RxFood Corporation: Partnered with GreenShield to enhance health outcomes through personalized AI-Powered nutrition support. Rehabtronics: Expanding its footprint in the United States and forging partnerships with organizations committed to improving hand function in US veterans. FirstHx: Joining forces with Rocket Doctor to enhance communication and streamline processes in healthcare. Inagene Diagnostics Inc: Was featured in the Toronto Star, showcasing the revolutionary effects of pharmacogenetic testing on depression treatment through individualized strategies. I love seeing these clips from LSI USA 2024. That conference went by so quickly that I missed too many terrific panels! I appreciate Chris Eso's take in this clip: “If you think about what the world looks like in 10-15-20 years from now from a medical device, it’s going to be all connected. It’s going to be all data generating. It’s going to be how you use that data to get better outcomes longer term.” This is exactly why The Shape Sensing Company is building tools to track surgical devices. Not just for navigation during procedures (which is a huge benefit), but the data associated with the navigation will inform us on what went right, what went wrong, and how to improve patient outcomes in the future. Fiber optic 3D guidance is the only technology that can provide full-length, three-dimensional device location, bending, and torque tracking for any tool used in a procedure.
