Coffee shops are supposed to be places where patrons can sit, have a nice conversation, and enjoy their drinks. Instead, this idea of revamping productivity will only make Starbucks seem more of a fast-food environment. No longer, can you sit, and relax you are bombarded with hoards of people trying to customize every drink in any way possible, loud obnoxious music, and drinks with no actual attention to detail put into them. These 'TikTok' drinks have ruined the enjoyment of being a barista, because not only are staff berated when their drink can't be customized to their liking but, instead of creating a positive workplace to lift each other up - it creates unnecessary tension and anger towards customers and even other. And how would I know you may ask? Well, I have been a barista for 9 years and the enjoyment and fun of what it used to be when I first started is no longer there. Yes, I agree, that Starbucks needs to care for its loyal customers, but at the same time, it needs to do a better job at caring for its employees and realize that putting unnecessary pressure to go faster will decrease quality and actual care.
By our math, there are 383 billion latte combinations at Starbucks 🤯 That's great if you love handcrafted drinks, but it slows cafés down. That's why the world's dominant coffee chain is spending billions to revamp how it makes almost everything. The good news is that some changes are coming quickly. The bad news is that the biggest part of the plan is a couple of years away. https://lnkd.in/ezWXXAGn

Is up sizing a scam? Logic Behind Starbucks Coffee Pricing Ever wondered why your morning cup of Starbucks seems to cost a little extra? ☕ Let's dive into the logic behind it! #CoffeeLogic #StarbucksSips Did you know that when you pay for that venti latte, you're not just getting more coffee, but also more hot water and milk? The larger sizes often mean more added ingredients, making them pricier. #SizeMatters #ValueInVariety But here's the kicker: are we paying too much for just a little extra hot water? Shouldn't the price reflect the actual cost of production? #FairPricing #QuestioningValue Let's discuss: does it make sense to pay extra for hot water, or should Starbucks rethink their pricing strategy? ☕💭 Share your thoughts! #CoffeeTalk #PriceDebate

If you think Starbucks is overpriced coffee, you'd be functionally correct but still wrong. 😬 1.) It's NOT overpriced to their MILLIONS of customers or they wouldn't buy it. 🤷♂️ To the customers, the price is fair for the value. 🤔 How does Starbucks do it?? Here's the key👇👇 They aren't selling coffee as a commodity. They are selling status (carrying a Starbucks cup is status to some) but wait there's more! 😮 They're also selling convenience, energy, flavor, and even convenience, more than just the commodity of coffee. 🙌 Read that again....👆👆 then pivot that thought process to your laundry business because if you're "reselling utilities" or even "clean laundry," you are failing miserably.😥 Great news though!! It's not too late to learn and pivot everything you do. 🔥🚀 You can do it, we can help! ❤️ #laundromatmillionaire #buildthatbuilding #BoostYourProfits

Should companies change their products based on customer feedback even if it doesn’t align with their original brand concept? Starbucks was inspired by Italian coffee shops, and the founder wanted to bring that experience to America. Though not popular in their inspiration country of Italy, Starbucks decided to introduce frozen blended coffee drinks (in 1995) and iced coffee drinks (in 2009) to the menu. The decision paid off; last quarter, the cold drinks category made up 75% of sales. Unlike their European counterparts, Americans continued to demand their beloved ice, and Starbucks has proved that investing in products tailored to your customer Is always a good move. The coffee giant’s latest product drop, the Oleato, is an olive oil-infused coffee drink. While it may sound strange, it’s not far from the “bullet coffee,” which contains butter. Bucking the traditional coffee house menu has paid off for Starbucks before, so it will be interesting to see if this new drink is also a hit with customers! #CustomerService #Branding #Starbucks https://ow.ly/ImvN50PzBIi Photo: Getty Images

Starbucks, one of the world's largest coffee chains with an astounding $40B annual sales with over 37,000 stores, understands better than anyone that 'time is money.' Bloomberg estimates a potential $900M annual surge if each outlet served just five extra customers daily! Unsurprisingly, Starbucks is investing $450m into the radically efficient Siren System bar setup. Take the Mocha Frappuccino, for instance, ▪️With existing setup: 16 steps, 87 seconds ▪️With Siren System: 14 steps and a mere 36 seconds. With over 383 billion potential Starbucks drink combinations, the average waiting period has expanded to an annoying 5 minutes, thanks largely to the increasingly complex special orders we're all guilty of making now and then! But can Starbucks really complain when these "extras" rake in an added $1B annually? The Siren System is forecast to inhabit 40% of U.S. stores by 2026, so your coffee wait time is about to plunge! -- Enjoy my content? I'm Vincenzo, and I curate content for the genuinely curious. I need to spend $200 at Starbucks to get 1 free Cold Brew... ...Contrast, to the bougie coffee shop 2 blocks away (my wife's favorite for Americanos), I get 1 free one every 10 with a stamp card. Starbucks: 2.5% Rewards. Bougie: 10% Rewards. Except, I still go to Starbucks every morning because they are the only place with Nitro Cold Brew. Getting "free" coffees doesn't sway my morning decision in the slightest. When thinking of your positioning it's not just about price or discounts. Differentiation (only one with Nitro) or brand or convenience, among others, play a part.
