At NineDot Energy (and in the clean energy space more broadly!) partnerships are key to successful projects and community impact. One of our proudest collaborations is with the Bronx Charter School for Better Learning, so it was fitting for Adam Cohen, NineDot CTO and cofounder, and Shubert Jacobs, Executive Director of BBL, to share the stage with Sara B. Chandler of Elemental Excelerator at the Urban Future Lab Urban Future Forum, supported by the Wells Fargo Innovation Incubator (IN2). Adam and Shubert highlighted the benefits of our collaboration and shared mission of creating a clean energy future for the next generation. During our collaboration, NineDot employees engaged with students, sharing their knowledge and working together on a mural for our first Bronx battery storage site. They also gave a well-deserved shoutout to Mac Anderson-Cooper and Karlene Buckle for their leadership supporting the students and especially this wonderful mural project. #CommunityEngagement #NineDotEnergy #CleanEnergy #ClimateSolutions #CommunityImpact #Sustainability

Growth and scale accelerator for startups and scaleups, venture-backed through IPO || Dedicated social justice advocate (she/her)
Last week in Somerville, I learned about a broad range of climate centered innovations coming out of Greentown Labs. I was impressed by the scope of problems being tackled, funders deeply committed to problem solving alongside founders, and the government policy makers working to accelerate adoption of green technologies and ease the financial costs. It felt particularly fitting that the day kicked off with a fireside chat headlined by the Governor of Massachusetts touching on initiatives ranging from workforce development and training (in high schools and at the re-education level for older adults phasing out of other industries) to tax incentives at the corporate and individual levels. To witness accelerating collaboration between corporates a diverse range of founders building with intense purpose state government, my optimism for our shared future amidst climate challenges is finally on the rise 📈 💸 The panel on the second valley of death (reference to later stage funding hurdles) provided particularly valuable advice to first-time founders. Third Sphere's Zeev Krieger gave an excellent primer on the latest in funding trends and the evolving capital stack mix in climate, highlighting some major differences vs other startup / VC-backed verticals: among venture funded climate companies more than 50% concentration in hardware stood out, as well as the 10X expansion in nondilutive funding options. ⚡ For those of you interested in a novel approach to electrification challenges and a keen eye towards affordability, make sure you follow Jane Chen and the rest of the team at Stepwise. 🌊 The team at SeaDeep is making undetected oil leaks and other underwater environmental damage a thing of the past. I owe a BIG thanks to Ted Butler for introducing me to Greentown and showing me around! 💭 If you have thoughts or observations to add specific to the climatetech capital raising environment and/or cap stack mix please share below. #climatetech #climateresilience #climaterisk #climateinvesting #greentransition #greenfinance #greentechnology

The best kind of collaboration is done first and talked about later. We are thrilled that One Small Planet has become an early anchor investor in Regeneration.VC Fund 2. Thank you, Francois Botha, for covering this unique collaboration on Forbes and highlighting the importance of working and learning alongside amazing partners. Our partnership with One Small Planet started with co-investments in Cruz Foam and Matter.. It is exciting to announce now that One Small Planet also joined us alongside Closed Loop Partners in Greyparrot's latest round, led by strategic investor and partner Bollegraaf and Lubo Recycling Solutions. UK-based Greyparrot now counts multiple strong US investors, and a growing number of Material Recovery Facilities now live in the United States. We are grateful to our partners Will P. and Jack Wielebinski of One Small Planet, who share our vision for the future of consumer industries, and are proud of the catalytic work we are doing together to realign consumer industries with planetary boundaries. Now, recognizing One Small Planet as a key early investor in our second fund is amazing. "One Small Planet is incredibly excited to be one of the anchor LPs of Regeneration.VC Fund 2. Regeneration.VC is one of the premier investors in the climate space with whom we have co-invested multiple times including Cruz Foam, Matter and most recently Greyparrot. With this anchor commitment, One Small Planet is positioned to more deeply formalize our partnership." - Jack Wielebinski CIO of One Small Planet See link to article in comments 🔽 Mikela Druckman Ambarish Mitra Gaspard Duthilleul John Felts Toby Corey Adam Root Nicole Kapel Michael Smith Dan Fishman Katie Hoffman David Levine Martijn Lopes Cardozo Destana Herring Greta Bertozzini Maria Llambias #consumerclimatech #regeneration #collaboration

🎉 Wrapping Up an Unforgettable Journey at the SHV Energy Hackathon! 🎉 And just like that, our first-ever SHV Energy Hackathon comes to a spectacular close! I couldn't be prouder of the ingenuity, collaboration, and sheer grit our teams displayed over the last three days. Six teams tackled six substantial challenges and presented solutions that are nothing short of revolutionary. These are not just ideas; they are actionable solutions crafted to have a significant impact on our business. What's incredible is the atmosphere—the room was filled with nothing but positive energy. Even those who didn't clinch the top spot left feeling like winners. Why? Because the experience itself was the real prize. The learning, the friendships formed, and the collaborative spirit were truly invaluable. And to think that all these problems were literally "hacked away" in less than 72 hours is awe-inspiring. To everyone involved: Thank you for bringing your A-game and for creating something magical Hiroshi Esther Tom Fabiana. This hackathon wasn't just an event; it was a testament to what we can achieve when we come together as a community of innovators. Here's to the many more milestones we'll achieve together! 🌟 I will post some nicer photos as soon as I get them from the photographer! #SHVEnergy #Hackathon2023 #Innovation #Collaboration #daretoinnovate #shvenergyhackathon2023 #PositiveVibes #BusinessImpact #LearningAndGrowing #UnforgettableExperience

Real green power, yes please 💚 Like everyone else, we at DTU Science Park cannot control the color of the electricity in our thousands of power outlets. Therefore, we have chosen to contribute to bringing more green power into our shared power grid instead🔌 We have partnered with the climate-tech startup, The 0-Mission, which produces energy from the solar park 'Vandel' in Vejle. This means The 0-Mission matches our electricity consumption in Hørsholm with production from these solar panels 🌞 P.S. It's fantastic that we are now supporting a climate-tech startup, which has previously been part of our growth program, GreenUP Accelerator 🚀 👉 Read about the partnership and the green power here: https://lnkd.in/dct2ti4U
