McPhy has signed a contract with Berlin-based HMS Oil and Gas division, a subsidiary of HMS Bergbau AG, to supply and commission four McLyzer 3200-30 #electrolyzers, with a capacity totaling 64 MW. These units will be operated as part of a major tie-in point for the #hydrogen grid at the Radeland compression station in Brandenburg. The contract is structured in two phases. The first phase involves supplying and commissioning one McLyzer 3200-30 unit with a 16 MW capacity, expected to be operational by the end of 2025. The second phase includes three additional McLyzer 3200-30 units, scheduled for commissioning in 2027. Together, these electrolyzers will be powered by electricity from nearby #wind parks and #photovoltaic plants, producing up to 10,000 tons of low-carbon hydrogen annually. The final investment decisions for phase I and phase II are set for 2024 and the end of 2025, respectively. McPhy has planned to start manufacturing the McLyzer 3200-30 at its new Gigafactory in Belfort with the design and engineering of very high-capacity #electrolysis systems in the framework of this contract. Production of #stacks will be supported by the San Miniato plant in Italy. Additionally, McPhy will provide long-term maintenance services.

This study introduces a novel solar-powered configuration comprising PTSCs, interconnected ORCs, LNG regasification, and a dedicated module for hydrogen production and liquefaction. By harnessing the cooling capabilities of LNG, this well-designed arrangement demonstrates the considerable potential for large-scale hydrogen generation. https://lnkd.in/dr5YG5Uk

Next Milestone: Ground-breaking ceremony for Net-Zero liquid gas terminal in Stade With the groundbreaking ceremony for the land-based LNG terminal in the Stade Industrial Park on Friday, June 28, a new chapter begins for Hanseatic Energy Hub (HEH). As partners in the consortium with Partners Group, Enagás, and Buss Group GmbH & Co. KG, we are pleased to achieve another milestone for Germany’s and Europe’s secure energy supply. The construction work for the Zero-Emission Import Terminal for liquefied gases will continue until 2027 – right within sight of our Dow facilities in Stade. From then on, the import terminal will be able to… • cover up to 15% of Germany’s natural gas demand – a crucial step toward energy diversification. • convert the liquefied gases back into their gaseous state using residual waste heat from the plant, thus achieving emissions-free processing. • utilize hydrogen-based energy carriers such as ammonia for net CO2-neutral production in future. We look forward to a sustainable energy future! #TeamDow #Innovation

“Sunfire secures 100MW electrolyser order for European refinery” By Charlie Currie - on Aug 24, 2023 “German electrolyser manufacturer Sunfire has secured a contract to supply a 100MW pressurised alkaline electrolyser to a European refinery.” “The purchase order includes 10 Sunfire modules, each with 10MW of capacity, as well as power supply units. The company has also said it will be responsible for supervising the subsequent installation and commissioning the system.” “Planned to go into operation in early 2026, Sunfire’s CEO, Nils Aldag, has said, “Now we are ready to deliver on large-scale projects.”” “”Signing this 100MW contract marks a key milestone for Sunfire as it is our first commercial order from a leading refinery in Europe,” he added. “Refineries are at the forefront of decarbonising their operations through green hydrogen and hence are one of our strategic target sectors.”” “In June (2023), a German consortium took final investment decision (FID) to build a 30MW green hydrogen project at the Bad Lauchstädt Energy Park, which will feature a Sunfire electrolyser system.” “As part of the project, all of the green hydrogen produced will be offtaken by TotalEnergies to partially replace grey hydrogen used in its Leuna refinery.” https://lnkd.in/e3msiVHY Source- original post Follow me #MariusPreston #greyhydrogen #greenhydrogen #pemelectrolysers #electrolysers #electrolyzers #refinery #pressurisedalkalineelectrolyser
