The successful candidate has knowledge of early childhood development and general principles of early childhood education and developmentally appropriate, child-led, multi-cultural, anti-bias curriculum, combined with experience teaching children under the age of 5. We’re thrilled to see that a new law has been passed saying super contributions must be paid under the Commonwealth Government’s Paid Parental Leave (PPL) scheme. This change means people on parental leave will receive an additional 12% in superannuation on top of their leave payments from 1 July 2025. Modelling by Aware Super suggests that a woman on a low income with two children, accessing 26 weeks of Commonwealth Paid Parental Leave, may be up to $10,700 better off at retirement as a result of the additional payments. Most households can no longer afford the luxury of a parent who stays at home to raise the children. Instead, the kids are being raised by the institutionalized education system that we have in place now, where they're told to sit down, keep their opinions to themselves and try not to think about anyone coming into their school with bad intentions.
