Congratulations to customer, EDP Renewables North America, and Ava Community Energy and San José Clean Energy on Scarlet I (200 MW solar storage in Fresno, CA). We enjoyed participating in this landmark project that incorporates #AgriPV (solar grazers!), adjacent farming and the solar industry's latest innovations. Thanks for including us and to many more! https://lnkd.in/g67AR7FM Jonathan Eastwood Patrick Harbert Chris Mikalauskas Bill Elwell Matthias B. Krause Brandy Lee

Having the opportunity to experience the impact #solar has on a local community is truly humbling. Every. Single. Time. Despite a whirlwind 36-hour trip, I was immensely excited to celebrate the unveiling of our Scarlet I #200MW solar 40MW #storage energy project in Fresno County, CA. Standing alongside Ava Community Energy & San José Clean Energy highlighted that this business is all about #partnerships and collaborating with partners who share your vision for a more equitable and accessible #cleanenergy future. Read more about the ribbon cutting at https://lnkd.in/eHV6RGih. So, what made this project different? 💡 #Innovation played a role from #construction phase to #technology deployment, with Rosendin, LG Electronics, and Nextracker Inc. lending their “know-how” and raising the bar on EDPR's offering to market. The greater incorporation of #batterystorage highlighted the prevalent role #energystorage is playing in deploying renewables in #California. 🐑 #Agrivoltaics and supporting local businesses played a central role at Scarlet. We partnered up with Ryan Indart, a 3rd generation Central Valley farmer and livestock owner, to deploy 2,500 sheep during construction to keep our commitment to keeping #environment first in vegetation management onsite. I got to meet Ryan and his family, who run Indart Solar Sheep Grazing, which was one of the more meaningful highlights of the ribbon cutting. To have his daughters there, seeing the future solar provides them, full of excitement in their eyes, really was a special moment. 💧 #WaterEfficiency in the Central Valley continues to be of utmost importance, with Scarlet I providing savings of around 254 million gallons of water EACH YEAR vs. conventional energy generation. As we passed the thousands of acres of pistachio and almond trees that sit amongst solar parks, the symbiotic relationship between water conservation and renewable energy hit home. 🖋️ Scarlet I was honored to be recognized by the US Congress, the California State Senate, and the California Legislature Assembly. Thank you to Congressman John Duarte ( Kyle Savage), State Senator Anna Caballero ( David Santos), and Assemblywoman Esmeralda Soria, Esq. ( Oneida Escobar). LinkedIn never provides enough room to thank everyone who assisted in ensuring a successful ribbon cutting, but I’d be remiss in not giving sincere thanks to Howard Chang & Lori Mitchell, alongside their teams James Dorrance, Dan Lieberman, Sofi Hecht, Lina Williams, MFA, Marika Krause Ponce, Patrick Beger, my #EDPR team: Larissa Clark, Jessica Wosiack, MS, Gabriela Abonce, Madison Novak, Cristian Perez, Diana Fong, P.E., Dan CampbellScott Farris, Christopher Baxter, Oreoluwa Omidele, Don Peterman, Michael Spielberg, Tim Hertel, Kent Shields, Matt Kauffman, James Kern, Kevin Hatfield, Zack Carraway, Joe Davis & Juan Jimenez!
