NextEra Energy Resources’ Post

NextEra Energy Resources reposted this

I am excited to announce that NextEra Energy Resources has entered into a joint development agreement with Entergy to accelerate the development of up to 4.5 gigawatts of new storage and renewable energy projects. This collaboration represents a significant milestone in advancing Entergy's renewable generation portfolio. The power sector is at an important inflection point. We expect the significant new energy demand to be met primarily with renewable generation and storage, and this agreement will enable Entergy to provide customers across Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas with low-cost, reliable energy solutions. It's a great example of how collaboration can help meet the rapidly increasing demand for energy. Together, we are powering the growth in the American economy. #cleanenergy #renewables #storage

Hey, Rebecca Kujawa. Thanks for sharing the announcement. I hope Entergy can create/offer residential SOLAR programs for solar system owners in Texas! At this moment, I have two neighbors who installed solar systems with storage capacity, and they get an unfair solar plan, Just because they are tied to Entergy!, which is very different to my experience living in the same area, but not tied to Entergy!

Is that 4.5 GW of actual UCAP capacity, or just nameplate?
