#CASHI, Digital Payment Wallet from #Walmart, disrupts both Mexican FS and Retail Industry by integrating financial services and personal consumer shopping journeys, under one roof.
1. Walmart de México y Centroamérica leverages current regulation in #openbanking through #PSD2 principles (access customer data, or customer accounts by a 3rd party; called “#ComisionistasDigitales” in Mexican regulation), its big and unique #data sets (5 million customers visit Walmart stores every day), and emergent technologies to maximize and personalize customer experiences.
2. Cashi recently entered the #OpenBanking Mexican landscape by linking third party banks´ debit and credit cards, into its Cashi app.

Walmart Mexico owns a #Fintech (Trafalgar), and has an alliance with BANCO INBURSA (Mastercard cards) that would allow Walmart to offer savings, credit card products, payroll services, etc.
3. #Walmex, with #Cashi (Monedero Digital), serves digitally 6 million clients under a #customercentric, open #platform business model (Save Money. Live Better).
For a comparison, Openbank by Santander serves 2 million clients in Europe after four years —Openbank is entering Mexico and USA by Q4 2024; Openbank México and Openbank US.

7. Walmart has taken Mexican digital financial services one step ahead, integrating #data, #AI, #analytics, #virtualassistants into online banking, and built on top a #personalized, “#shopping” #ecosystem, both supported by an open #platform that has a lot of room to scale.
