Trying to get #smarthome device and data security on the same page might be a bear, though the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) doesn't hibernate during the winter. My esteemed colleagues Hollie Hennessy and Edward Wilford and myself took a deeper dive into the drivers behind the creation and eventual proliferation of the CSA's IoT security standard. Free to download with a quick and simple registration! Message me for more details or have a conversation with Hollie, Edward, myself, or any mix of the three. Thanks!
The Connectivity Standards Alliance has recently released its IoT security standard, with certification and labelling alongside it. The program aims to unify work that's already been done, ultimately making device security simpler for manufacturers, and more transparent for consumers. Edward Wilford, Jack Narcotta and I have worked together to write up a report covering the launch, as well as our opinions on what this means for #IoTSecurity, and what things might look like in the future. #cybersecurity #productsecurity #IoT https://lnkd.in/eFXQBuSD
The release of Connectivity Standards Alliance’s IoT specification and certification marks an important step forward for smart home security
