Living organ donation can be a complex but rewarding journey. Here are 3 steps to get started if you're considering donating to a friend or loved one in need: 1. Get in touch with a transplant hospital: for non-directed donation, this can be the hospital of your choice; for directed donation, connect with your recipient on where they are listed. 2. Receive an initial health screening and blood test. 3. Connect with your own independent donor advocate (IDA).
