At New Engen, we believe in celebrating diversity and inclusivity and creating safe spaces for all individuals. As Pride Month comes to a close, we want to share our support and belief in the importance of recognizing and honoring the LGBTQIA community and our employees. We aim to actively continue fostering a culture of acceptance, respect, and equality where everyone can let their authentic selves shine. 🌈 During our June DEIB & Culture All Hands, we gathered to celebrate, learn, and connect on the true spirit of Pride. It was a time of sharing personal stories, discussing meaningful allyship, exploring ways to celebrate and get involved, and delving into the rich history of Pride that has shaped this vibrant community. In previous discussions, we’ve covered the history of queerness, the importance of education around marriage equality, gender-affirming care, queer history, and celebrated traditions, and the extensive challenges currently unfolding due to the impact of anti-LGBTQIA bills and the risks they pose to progress and everyday life. We also emphasized the importance of intersectionality in understanding and supporting the diverse experiences within the LGBTQIA community. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed their personal stories and experiences, helping us deepen our understanding of the importance of creating safe spaces for ourselves and our loved ones and continued support for LGBTQIA rights, history, allyship, and safety all year round. Our presentation would not be complete without polling what some of our teams are currently loving: ❤️ the anticipation of Lady Gaga's new album 🧡 #ChappellRoan 💛 Barry's fitness 💚 Indoor plants (IYKYK) 💙 #JojoSiwa 💜 WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association) 🤎 Iced coffee (again, IYKYK) 🖤 The tennis movie "Challengers" 🤍 Troye Sivan As we wrap up Pride Month, we invite you to join the conversation and share how you celebrated or what Pride means to you in the comments below. 💬 #PrideMonth #LGBTQIA #DiversityandInclusion #Equality #Allyship #Pride2024

Celebrating PRIDE 2024 with Authenticity 🌈 To me, PRIDE is about Storytelling. It is also about Courage. Most importantly, it is about remembering and celebrating our shared past and the struggles of our pioneer brothers and sisters who fought for our basic civil rights and representation. It is a time to celebrate the heroes of our movement, including Marsha P Johnson, Harvey Milk, Edith Windsor, and Harry Hay. Sharing stories is the foundation of our community. Here are a few ideas for celebrating PRIDE in your organization this year: 🌈 Host a PRIDE Storytelling coffee chat with your team. Bring the pastries, donuts, and beverages and kKick off the meeting by sharing your story of what PRIDE month means to you. This works regardless of your sexuality or identity. Then encourage others on your team to share their stories. Make the space safe, confidential, empowering, and respectful. People can share anything they choose to, but set a 5 minute time limit while avoiding cross talk. Just encourage the other team members to actively listen without judgment 🌈 Host a local LGBTQ Educator or Speaker from a community non-profit. It can be another form of coffee chat storytelling with a simple presentation and Q&A Session. This can also You could supplement the storytelling idea above by combining it with Idea #1. 🌈 If you are feeling really adventurous, Host a Drag Queen Story Hour with your team. It can be a delightful, fun, adventurous, and educational experience. You can find your support your local Drag Community and talent, learn, laugh, and live with your team. PRIDE is a time for celebration, community, and storytelling. It is also a time for COURAGE. How will you show up for PRIDE this year? #PRIDE2024 #AuthenticLeadership

#SupportDragArtistsThisPride As we celebrate Pride Month, I wanted to share my personal journey and why I believe corporations should embrace drag performances in their spaces. For the past few years, I have been working as a drag artist in the corporate world, using drag as a medium to educate and engage employees about inclusion. I wear cultural clothing like sarees, sing, and perform for all age groups, ensuring my art is both accessible and impactful. Through my performances, I've witnessed the incredible power of gender performance to spark important conversations and foster a culture of understanding and acceptance. Drag is often misunderstood, with some believing it to be non-compliant or unsafe for the workplace. However, these perceptions often stem from internal conscious biases towards gender performance and, in some cases, untapped transphobia. Those who say drag isn't safe have likely never been to a drag show, where creativity, self-expression, and community are celebrated. to give you a better visuality of how and what drag looks like in India. i have attached a snippet of my recent concluded performance, where the room was filled with students, parents, families, kids and genders alike. at no point in time there was any discomfort or agony of any of the audience and you could see how they were supporting me unabashedly. Hosting drag performances during Pride Month can be a powerful statement of support for the LGBTQ community within your organization. It promotes inclusion, educates employees, and celebrates diversity. Moreover, it boosts morale by bringing engaging and entertaining events into the workplace. I am excited to collaborate with corporate BRGs and ERGs to create a model of how drag can be used for corporate learning. Together, we can untaboo gender performance and demonstrate the value of drag in promoting a more inclusive and vibrant workplace culture. Let's use this Pride Month to make a bold statement about diversity and inclusion, and to celebrate the unique contributions that drag artists bring to the table. Looking forward to working with forward-thinking companies to integrate drag into their corporate learning and development programs! 🌈 #PrideMonth #Inclusion #Diversity #CorporateCulture #DragPerformance #LGBTQ #GenderPerformance #WorkplaceInclusion

Today we celebrate Wear it Purple Day, by wearing something purple and showing the LGBTQI youth that they can feel safe, seen and included no matter how they identify their sexuality or gender. When I was younger days like today were only a dream. I grew up in a time where some states it was still illegal to be homosexual, I was bullied at school for not being manly enough, witnessed someone claim assault under gay defence. Even as a young gay person starting in the industry I heard people speak ill of colleagues that identified as gay. But thankfully over time our culture, acceptance and awareness has changed and this has helped shape and remove challenges to make it a much more inclusive world for most. However, it is still important to keep the conversation going, as there are still many barriers to break through. I’m thankful to work for The Star, a workplace that champions diversity and inclusion and allows everyone to be their authentic selves. I am also thankful to work with a team that has shown me nothing but warmth and acceptance Visibility is one of the best ways we can show people that it’s ok to be you. Thats why I wear a rainbow flag on my badge, why I am a proud open leader and why on Wear it Purple Day I chose to wear purple. To show not only just the youth but anyone, that when you are ready it is ok to be your true self 💜💜💜 #wearitpurpleday2023 #inclusionmatters #LGBTQI inclusion #WriteYourStory #Proud@TheStar

ASB Solutions LLC is Celebrating Pride Month At ASB Solutions LLC, we celebrate diversity and inclusion. This Pride Month, we reaffirm our commitment to fostering a workplace where all employees can bring their authentic selves to work. We honor the LGBTQAI community and their invaluable contributions to our company, industry, and society. Our strength lies in our differences, and we're proud to support equality and respect for all, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression. As we commemorate Pride Month, we reflect on its history. The modern LGBTQAI rights movement was catalyzed by the Stonewall Uprising in June 1969, when patrons of the Stonewall Inn in New York City resisted police harassment. This pivotal moment sparked a global movement for LGBTQAI rights and visibility. This year's Pride Month theme, "Bring Your Whole Self to Work," resonates deeply with us. We believe that when employees feel free to be their authentic selves, it leads to greater creativity, productivity, and job satisfaction. This theme challenges us to create workplaces where every aspect of an individual's identity is welcomed and valued. At ASB Solutions, we strive to embody this theme by fostering an environment where diversity is celebrated, unique perspectives are sought out, and everyone feels safe to express themselves fully. We recognize that bringing one's whole self to work isn't just about sexual orientation or gender identity – it's about embracing all aspects of our employees' diverse backgrounds and experiences. To our LGBTQAI employees, clients, and partners: we see you, we value you, and we stand with you. Your contributions make ASB Solutions stronger and more innovative. To allies: we appreciate your support and encourage you to continue learning, listening, and advocating for equality and inclusion. As we look to the future, ASB Solutions remains committed to being a force for positive change. We believe that by embracing diversity and fostering inclusion, we not only create a better workplace but also contribute to building a more equitable society for all. Let's continue to celebrate respect, and equality – this month and every month. Let's commit to creating workplaces where everyone can truly bring their whole selves to work, fostering environments of authenticity, acceptance, and mutual respect. #PrideMonth #Diversity #Inclusion #ASBSolutions #LGBTQ #LGBTQAI #EqualityForAll #WorkplaceDiversity #Pride2024 #BringYourWholeSelfToWork

A Human and NOT a Resource | Certified HR Analyst | ESTJ |People and culture | Start up mindset |Data Analytics
𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭. 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫. 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞. 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐝𝐚𝐲! Today marks the last day of Pride Month. The theme for this year was "𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭. 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫. 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞." This is celebrated across the globe and companies don't distance themselves from the celebration. Companies have championed Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, recognizing the importance of these values in the workplace. This is a commendable effort that deserves to be honored and celebrated. However, as we reflect on this theme, we must confront some crucial questions. Members of the LGBTQ community and women are integral parts of our society. They are human beings, just like anyone else. They deserve equal rights. They ought to experience everything like anyone else. So, why do we need special initiatives, agendas, and campaigns for them? The answer lies in the reality of our society. Despite the progress in promoting diversity, many still see these initiatives as primarily focused on women, overlooking the broader spectrum of diversity. Our society has yet to fully mature in its understanding and acceptance of all forms of diversity. Inclusion is not about special treatment or appeasement. It’s about ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to contribute and succeed. Equity is not the same as equality. While equality is about treating everyone the same, equity is about fairness. It means recognizing that different people have different needs and providing the resources and opportunities necessary for everyone to thrive. It’s not about sympathy or pity; it’s about justice. We undertake these efforts because of one fundamental issue: 𝐀 𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐲. Empathy is the foundation of true inclusion and equity. It means understanding and valuing others' experiences, struggles, and contributions. It’s about creating a world where everyone feels seen, heard, and respected. Empathy allows us to understand and share the feelings of others, to see the world through their eyes. Without it, our initiatives for diversity, equity, and inclusion can never truly succeed. As Pride Month concludes, let us not view this as an end but as a reminder of the ongoing journey. Let’s continue to reflect on our actions, empower those around us, and unite in our commitment to a more inclusive and empathetic society. Diversity and inclusion should not be a month-long campaign but a continuous commitment. #leadership #pride #pridemonth #lgbtq #dei #diversity #equity #inclusion #dei #hrmagazine #hackinghr #empathy harish iyer

If you want to shape minds, start with the youth. We talk a lot about diversity, equity, and inclusion (#DEI) in companies. But it’s tricky to create the kind of open, caring, inclusive organizations we’d like to have, without considering the societies in which we live. And, unfortunately, not every country, state, or region in the world is tolerant of all the beautiful expressions of human diversity (think LGBTQIA, people with disabilities, elder adults, etc.). Even in the most “open” of places, there’s always more to do. Of course, it’s hard to change mindsets overnight – laws and policies help, of course. As do awareness and educational campaigns/events. And, for my fellow LinkedIn parents out there, we can use the opportunities and resources available to us to help shape a more inclusive future generation: starting with our kids! This could be books, conversations, or, if you live in my neighborhood (central Paris), family dance parties – featuring drag kings and queens. Like the one I went to yesterday with the kiddos – replete with age-appropriate literature and discussions on #gender norms! Thank you Mairie de Paris Centre for supporting this kind of event, where, to my older daughter’s chagrin, I can “get my dance on!” and, we as a society, can continue to be better: more welcoming, and understanding, together. (and, always happy to go to my long-time favorite, Tango!) #diversity #equity #inclusion #gendernorms #LGBTQIA P.S. I get my ideas from talking to amazing and inspirational people (part of my job!) - this one draws on a certain CHRO's International Women's Day post!

Aw, today is an incredibly exciting day at work! My heart swells with pride as I stand beside these remarkable colleagues, our smiles wide with joy and accomplishment. Together, we have just finished decorating another significant achievement: the opening of a mini library focused on race and gender, a proud accomplishment of IMO's Racial Equality and Equity group. This moment is more than just a milestone; it is a testament to the power of diversity and inclusion. In a world where voices are often silenced and stories overlooked, this library stands as a beacon of hope and understanding. It celebrates the rich tapestry of human experiences and ensures that every individual, regardless of race or gender, is seen, heard, and valued. Diversity and inclusion are not mere buzzwords; they are the foundation of a just and equitable society. They foster empathy, break down barriers, and build bridges between people from all walks of life,by embracing our differences, we unlock a wealth of perspectives, creativity, and strength that enriches us all. This mini library is the product of our internal secretariat’s dedicated efforts to support capacity building and expand our collective knowledge. It is a tangible reflection of our commitment to fostering an environment where diversity is celebrated and inclusion is the norm. As we bask in the glow of this achievement, we are reminded of the countless lives that will be touched and transformed by the knowledge and stories housed within our mini library. Together, we are making a profound impact, one book, one story, one life at a time. Our work does not end here; this is just the beginning of a journey towards greater understanding and empowerment for all. #alllivesmatter #DiversityAndInclusion #InclusionMatters #Diversity #EqualityForAll #GenderEquality #RaceEquality #Inclusion #Equity #DiversityIsStrength #WomenInLeadership #WomenEmpowerment #BlackLivesMatter #LGBTQ #CulturalDiversity #SocialJustice #InclusiveCulture #DiverseVoices #EndRacism #GenderDiversity #Intersectionality Irene Waite Galuh Rarasanti
