We are very excited to share that we’ve reached a major milestone in the creation of carbon negative sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Read the latest from our CEO Timothy Obitts & CTO Derek Vardon 🛫 🌎 Key themes: ♻ SAF produced from miscanthus Alder Renewable Crude (ARC) can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 110% compared to conventional fossil jet fuel. ♻ As a result, Alder SAF100 produced from miscanthus has the potential to be carbon negative, without the need for additional CO2 capture technology. ♻ In our testing and analysis process, miscanthus-derived Alder SAF100 scored impressively across all fuel property prescreening tests. Life cycle analysis confirmed its carbon negative potential, too. ♻ A purpose-grown energy crop, miscanthus can store roughly half of the carbon it removes from the air below ground. It builds extensive root and microbial systems that enrich soil, reduce water and soil runoff, and improve nutrient retention. ♻ Alder Renewables was awarded a research and development cooperative agreement to conduct this work by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)'s Bioenergy Technologies Office. INERATEC and SOLER Group enter technology partnership to transform e-Fuel production in Europe 🌳 🤝 We are proud to partner with our fellow climate pioneers to combine our cutting-edge technologies and transform industry and mobility sectors dependent on fossil oil. Together with SOLER Group, we will build an innovative Power-to-Liquid plant in Southern France. The plant will avoid an equivalent of 100,000 tons of CO2 emission per year by using wood and renewable hydrogen as feedstocks. By producing renewable biocarbon and e-Fuels, this plant will leverage the synergy potential to achieve maximum resource efficiency. 💡 This marks a milestone for the global supply of sustainable fuel solutions from Power-to-Liquid plants in Europe.
