Only half way through DSEI and already we've achieved to much. I wear many hats and at something like DSEI I have to swap them quickly but fortunately they all go with the same outfit! With having the different roles it can be difficult to pick out highlight, but the announcement we've made today with Matchtech about a new partnership with Women in Defence UK Careers has made it easy today. Working with Aidan Wood and his colleagues over the last couple of months to shape the partnership and to being it to life has given us all the opportunity to put our energies and expertise into a project we are all passionate about; improved female representation in defence. What I've enjoyed the most is the shared commitment to experiment and give something different a go. This is going to give is all a greater understanding as to what is needed, from a recruitment angle, to make recruiting and retaining women into the defence enterprise more successful. Today Women in Defence Charter launched out third annual data report which shows an increase in female representation across the enterprise to 24%. Significant progress has been made but now is not the time to stand back and hope momentum with fix the problem. We need to keep all activities and programmes running and look for more that can be done. Since 2016, WithYouWithMe has expanded from a kitchen in Australia to the national capitals of Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom and now the United States. We continue to work with both the public and private sectors in developing employment strategies centered on military veteran talent, uncovering their hidden talents, and fostering a more cohesive and higher performing culture within their workforce. 💪 As such, WithYouWithMe has won numerous awards and accolades globally that have recognized our innovative capabilities to showcase military veterans as a highly sought after resource for the labour market. 🏆 For organisations in search of skilled and diverse talent, our community of over 100,000 is a thriving hub that has expanded from military veterans to include other segments of the labour market that also face barriers getting their potential recognized for employment opportunities. 😎 That said, our work is not nearly complete.
