According to Senator Whitehouse, US taxpayers give the fossil fuel industry direct subsidies of about $20 BILLION dollars every year (a direct subsidy is a discount, in other words, CASH)-- how about redirecting 1/800th of the oil industry payout to BUILDING a BETTER FUTURE? I have so many productive ideas for those hard earned tax dollars....ideas that don't include incentivizing oil men to keep doing what they do.
