Excited to share that @Nyheim Plasma Institute of Drexel University, in collaboration with Boson Energy, has been awarded the BIRD Energy grant. Over decades of dedicated research and development, the Nyheim Plasma Institute has pioneered the Gliding Arc Plasmatron (GAP) – an innovative plasma torch known for its cost-effectiveness, low maintenance, and superior energy efficiency. Boson Energy has introduced a groundbreaking gasification process designed to treat mixed solid waste streams for Hydrogen production. The primary goal of the joint project is to leverage Drexel’s GAP technology to create an efficient tar-cracking apparatus, enhancing Hydrogen production using Boson’s process data. Our Norwegian team have completed the first, large scale, surface construction blast using Hypex Bio HPE for Bane Nor in partnership with Norwegian Hæhre Entreprenør. The blast consisted of more than 220 holes and was bulk loaded by Hæhre´s blasters using the Hypex Bio charging unit. Hæhre´s drill and blast manager, Tore Venåsen, commented: “The (Hypex Bio) HPE explosive has been tested on several applications in the past, but this was the first time it was used on a pattern over such a large area and with so many holes. We consider the blast performance to be successful and will review all test results carefully to assess how we take this forward. For us as a contractor, it is important to seek new methods and solutions that contribute to innovation in the industry. Very pleased to share our recent review, published in Advanced Energy Materials, regarding the dual use of SAM molecules in perovskite solar cells. In this comprehensive overview, we outline the key components of SAM molecules, the varied deposition methods employed, the diverse roles they play in PSCs, as well as their wide applications as charge transport materials and interfacial modulators. Additionally, we propose design principles for SAM molecules based on our understanding, and highlight the remaining challenges in this field. We hope that our review will inspire the future exploration and contribute to a deeper understanding of SAM materials. https://lnkd.in/dwYMes-R

What is the relevance of odorants? We have answered these questions in our ISO 14687-compliant Boltzmann gas analysis laboratory.
